Wilder, 26, sees his fight against Beck bringing huge excitement in a fight that would be worthy of being televised on Showtime or HBO. I agree with Wilder. This is going to be a pleasure watching the man work.

Wilder told the tuscaloosanews.com “This is something you would get on Showtime or HBO or something like that. That’s the fight status this is. We were lucky just to get him on the terms that we got him to fight because most of the time this guy’s on TV when he fights.”

Beck plans on trying to take Wilder deep into the fight so that he can wear him down. Most of Wilder’s bouts have ended within four rounds, so Beck obviously sees a possible conditioning issue with Wilder. However, Wilder says he spars as many 15 rounds in training and he has no problem going the full eight rounds on Saturday night if he has to. Wilder says he prefers to get a knockout win so that he doesn’t leave anything to chance by having the judges possibly score the fight to Beck despite having dominated the guy.

Wilder wants to step it up after this fight, but he realizes that fighters don’t want to take him on because he’s so dangerous with his super long reach and crushing power. He may have to settle for some high level journeyman if he can’t get the top fighters or prospects to face him. It’s like that sometimes for big talents. He may have to take the back door to a title shot by facing the best B level fighters he can find and knock them all out to get a title shot. I’d love to see some of the top guys like Alexander Dimitrenko, Kubrat Pulev and Denis Boytsov fight Wilder, but that’s probably not going to happen because Wilder is so dangerous with his right hand power.
