Image: Chisora: I'm going to send Haye into retirement; there won't be another Klitschko fight for himBy William Mackay: Former British/Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) is promising to finish former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) off on July 14th in their clash in London, UK. Chisora believes that Haye will retire after he gets finished beating him in front of what could be as many as 30,000 fans at the Upton Park Arena.

Chisora said “This will be his last fight in boxing, and he can forget about fighting any Klitschko again…I’ll be pushing him for twelve rounds and giving him the worst beating he’s had. I’ll destroy him.”

Chisora’s chances of accomplishing his goal of blasting Haye out hinges on whether Haye runs out of gas from moving around the ring and/or if Haye decides to stand in one place to fight it out with the much heavier 245 pound Chisora. Haye probably won’t just stand in front of Chisora to let him whip on him all night long like Chisora says. Chisora’s best chance of winning the fight is if Haye runs out of gas, because Chisora doesn’t have one punch power. He’s the kind of fighter that needs to land a lot of accumulative blows before he can take out an opponent. The guys that Chisora has stopped in the past have been stationary fighters that have stood up against the ropes making it easy for him to land a lot of punches. Haye won’t likely do that, because he doesn’t like to to be hit.

Chisora seems himself wearing Haye down like 40-year-old Carl Thompson did in 2004. However, Haye ran out of gas in that fight after trying to blast Thompson out in the first four rounds of the fight. When Thompson was still there in the 5th, Haye had nothing left in the tank and was taken out. Haye learned from that loss, and he’s not tried to take any opponent out with the same style as he did back then.
