Image: Bradley wins the lottery with win over PacquiaoBy Chris Williams: By defeating WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao last Saturday night and ending his 15-fight winning streak, unbeaten Tim Bradley (29-0, 12 KO’s) has effectively won the lottery with this victory.

Not only will Bradley receive a guaranteed $5 million plus the upside on the pay-per-view numbers, Bradley will make twice that amount guaranteed for the rematch on November 10th.

Bradley is going to get very rich from this win over Pacquiao. He’s set for life now, and the only way he goes through all that money is if blows it on unwise investments, loses it through divorce or blows it on buying garbage. Bradley doesn’t strike me as someone that tosses money around, so he’s going to be all right.

I think it’s good that Bradley has knocked Pacquiao’s duff of his throne. Pacquiao probably needs to be brought down to earth because he looked a little flabby for this fight, and he may not be taking the sport serious as he once did. A victory by Bradley could be the thing to shock him back to life to where he can move around the ring like he used to. I didn’t see any improvement in his game from his very, very, very questionable win over Juan Manuel Marquez last November. If anything, Pacquiao looked even worse in this fight than he did in that one because he looked old last night.

Pacquiao never really hurt Bradley, and big part of that was because he wasn’t using his right hand. Pacquiao looked like he completely regressed as a fighter to where he was in his loss to Erik Morales in 2005. Back then, Pacquiao rarely used his right hand for anything. It was all left hands from him. His trainer Freddie Roach, after many years, finally taught Pacquiao how to use his right hand. However, he didn’t use it a lot in his fight against Marquez recently, and in the Bradley fight, Pacquiao hardly used his right hand at all. It’s like he’s forgotten basic things that he once knew.
