Image: Bradley: Pacquiao is declining; he's worn outBy Chris Williams: WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley came away not impressed with what he saw of Manny Pacquiao in their fight recently. Bradley thinks that Pacquiao’s skills are declining from age and too many tough fights.

Bradley says it’s going to be easier to beat the Filipino in a rematch because he knows how to beat him now by moving around the ring.

Bradley said to mydesert.com “He’s [Pacquiao] declining; honestly he’s declining. He had me hurt in the 4th round, but he couldn’t finish me. The old Manny would have finished me. I think he’s worn out. I saw at the press conferences. I thought this guy is tired. He’s got these bags under his eyes.”

I hate to say it but I agree with Bradley. Pacquiao does look like he’s aging, and the aging isn’t just the way he looks. The aging is in his game. Pacquiao was stumbling around the ring all night against Bradley, missing shots and looking off balance. It looked like a middleweight fighter to me that no longer had his skills. I’m not sure what happened to Pacquiao, because he had his skills intact for his bout against Miguel Cotto in 2009, but almost immediately Pacquiao’s game started to fade in his next fight against Joshua Clottey where Pacquiao fought poorly. Every fight since then, Pacquiao has looked a little worse each time out. It’s either age rearing it’s ugly head with Pacquiao or the affects of so many hard fights. Whatever the case, I agree with Bradley about Pacquiao looking worn out.
