Image: Bradley: Pacquiao comes in reckless with his head, tooBy Chris Williams: Unbeaten Tim Bradley (28-0, 12 KO’s) believes that too much is being made about the few times that he’s accidentally clashed heads with his opponents in the past, and he feels that not enough is being made about how his opponent for this Saturday Manny Pacquiao also clashes heads with guys that he fights sometimes.

Bradley said to ESPN “Go back and review Manny Pacquiao’s last three, four fights. This guy comes in reckless with his head, too, all right, guys? You can’t shy away from that. He storms in, lowers his head and he attacks.”

I agree with Bradley. Pacquiao does look awfully reckless when he charges forward and I can understand why head-butts results from those types of all out attacks. He comes in like a little goat and I’m surprised his opponents don’t get cut up with this style. It’s strange how Bradley is pegged as a head-butter when Pacquiao also clashes heads with fighters when he rushes one of his opponents. I suppose people have to look for some angle to try and criticize Bradley, because he’s still unbeaten. It’s not as if there’s a bunch of blemishes on his resume that you can criticize him for like you can with Pacquiao.

28 fighters have tried and 28 fighters have failed to beat the guy. That pretty much takes the heat out of most of the attacks on the guy. At this point, Bradley is perfect, and there isn’t a blueprint out on the guy on how to beat him yet. With Pacquiao, you already know how to beat him because Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales have both created strong blue-prints in how to defeat him. All you do is counter him and take advantage of his wreckless fighting style.

His trainer Freddie Roach hasn’t been able to take the wildness out of Pacquiao’s game despite having worked with him for many years. He’s still essentially the same fighter he was from the first fight with Roach. The only thing I can see different in Pacquiao’s game is that he now fights flat-footed due to age and his chronic leg cramps that he suffers.
