Are Pacquiao’s fans going to make a major production every time he gets beat?

Image: Are Pacquiao's fans going to make a major production every time he gets beat?By Chris Williams: It’s been a week now since Manny Pacquiao was out-worked by the younger Tim Bradley in a 12 round decision loss for the Filipino fighter, and still Pacquiao’s fans are complaining about his loss. Is is going to be like this every time Pacquiao gets beaten?

If so, I think his fans need to save their energy and realize that it’s only nature taking it’s course. The old lions get older, and the young able-bodied lions rip them to shreds and take over. It’s nature. Complaining about and trying to resist what’s happening won’t help anything. Pacquiao is getting older. You can see that with his controversial decision over Juan Manuel Marquez last November, and Pacquiao’s other off performances against Shane Mosley, Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito. He’s getting old now.

All this wasted energy with Pacquiao’s fans complaining about the loss. I just hope they don’t keep whining when Pacquiao starts getting beaten 24/7. Get a grip already.

I watched HBO’s The Fight Game with Jim Lampley last night, and it was sad to see Lampley trying to question one of what I feel is boxing’s best judge Duane Ford. Lampley was questioning the guy and it felt like I was watching a grill session. Ford should be getting honored for his excellent scoring of the Bradley-Pacquiao fight, as well as C.J Ross. Ford did a great job scoring the Pacquiao vs. Bradley fight.

I hate to be the one to break this to Pacquiao’s adoring fans, but there are going to be more and more losses as he continues to fight in the future. He’s getting old now, and the young lions can see what I can see in him. Pacquiao has lost a few steps, his accuracy is horrible, and he’s not fighting for three minutes of every round any more. He’s become a fighter that turns it up in the last 30 seconds. That’s age rearing it’s ugly head.
