Image: Ortiz talks Berto, Lopez, Khan and MayweatherBy Dallan O’ Donnell: Victor Ortiz was recently on SASN Radio in New York to speak about recent events in boxing and his own life. As per usual, the radio station gets all the big names in boxing to talk candidly and openly about affairs concerning the sport.

When asked if the Berto cancellation has thrown him off in training, Ortiz, who does work hard for fights, said that he hasn’t stopped working.

He was, of course, asked about the substance abuse in boxing, saying that he doesn’t need the Performance Enhancing Drugs or anything of the sort, that he is all natural. He even said he would fight Berto even if Berto was on steroids! This shows just how confident he has become now, since he began mixing at the top level.
He also said that he won’t take Lopez lightly, that he never takes anyone lightly.

He also talked about the upcoming Pacquiao-Bradley fight, saying he expects it to be a great fight.

He also talked about Pacquiao’s stable mate, Amir Khan. He said that despite Pacquiao beating him in the amateurs, Khan is not in Ortiz’s calibre at the minute. He said that he has grown into the 147 pound division and says he is stronger now.

He also talked about his loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Ortiz said that he didn’t expect Mayweather to his him on the break, but he had to do what he had to do to win the fight. Ortiz went on to say that he was only warming up in the fight. Ortiz still believes that he would have won.

Ortiz also talked about the business ventures that he has going at the minute, talking about his new face cream, his cologne and a new iPhone APP for iPhone users. It is good to see that he is putting his money to good use by investing in business ventures, he also helps many charities. Ortiz will fight Josesito Lopez on June 23rd.
Is Ortiz that good?

Will he struggle with Lopez?

Would he beat Khan? Comment below or tell me on Twitter @dallan09, and as always a special thanks to @BoxingHype on Twitter
