By Dominic Sauboorah: This has to be seen as one of the most exciting fights of 2012. Pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao takes on the undefeated Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand in what surely will be a classic slug fest. I honestly can’t wait.

Manny Pacquiao is regarded by many as the best boxer on the planet. His style of fighting is entertaining, dramatic and unique. His speed is unreal. His power is second to none. His punches are frightening. The Pacman has beaten the best boxing has to offer, however for the first time in a long time he will face someone a lot younger than him and who is solidly in their prime.

Timothy Bradley, also known as desert storm, is an undefeated fighter who is regarded as the best 140 pound fighter on the planet. Bradley’s a former 2-time WBC and former WBO super lightweight champion. He’s gone to people’s backyard and defied the odds, beating the likes of Junior Witter and Kendall Holt. Bradley’s also proven that he can compete at the welterweight limit as he blew away full blown welterweight Luis Abregu. At the age of 28 Timothy Bradley still has a lot more to offer to boxing and I’m pretty sure no one will mind that one bit.

On paper many mainstream fans would have Pacquiao winning this without any doubt; however it’s not that simple. Pacquiao may have seen what Bradley has to offer through other fighters that he’s fought before; nevertheless Timothy Bradley has always had that do or die attitude. He’s never shown fatigue in any of his fights, always giving it his all from first to last round. The desert storm might not have many tricks up his sleeve but his endurance could prove to be his ultimate weapon. Timothy Bradley has come through adversity in fights and ended up winning. He’s come off the canvas to show tremendous heart and courage. He’s taken punishment yet has still managed to make it through rounds without so much as breaking a sweat. He’s one of the hardest workers in sport, let alone boxing.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley. One fighter has everything to lose. One fighter has everything to gain. One fighter is the favourite. One fighter knows how to defy the odds. Two fighters who love to slug it out till the end. It’s going to be an epic battle.
