Image: Khan: The Peterson fight won't be close; I'll win clearlyBy Scott Gilfoid: I like how Amir Khan still doesn’t give IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Lamont Peterson any credit for having beaten him and made him look like a panicking fouler in their bout last December in Washington, DC. Khan seemed was panicking big time and running around the ring like a chicken with it’s head cut off to try and escape Peterson’s punishing body shots.

Khan told esnewsreporting.com “I don’t want to just go in there and win on points or numbers. This fight will not be close. I will win clearly. If not clearly, I’ll win by knockout.”

Man, Khan sounds delusional, doesn’t he? I guess is still really bothers him that he got spanked so badly by Peterson last time and he ended up looking foolish running around the ring, fouling to try and get Peterson to stop hitting him. Khan lost his composure completely to where he looked like someone who had never stepped foot in the ring before. You know someone is feeling stressed out when they lose their senses the way Khan was and just fouling, running and throwing wild punches without aim. I’m just glad Khan wasn’t in charge of someone in a battle. I could just see him barking orders that make absolutely no sense at all with his mind in full panic and not thinking clearly. I think Khan is just trying to bolster his own sagging self confidence by talking so boldly like the fight will be nothing more than a walk in the park for him. It’s going to be the opposite of that, of course.

Let’s look at the reality of the situation. Khan will do everything he did last time in terms of running and fouling. The difference here is Khan will probably get away with it this time instead of being penalized. The running will keep Peterson from landing and the fouling will also help in that end.
