Image: Warren wants neutral officials for Chisora-Klitshko fight: Isn't that a bit much for this mismatch?By Scott Gilfoid: Promoter Frank Warren is asking for neutral officials for the February 18th fight between his fighter Dereck Chisora and WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in their fight in Munich, Germany.

Warren wants to make sure there are no repeated of Chisora’s last fight against Robert Helenius in Finland, where Chisora appeared to do enough to get a clear cut win but found himself on the losing end of a controversial 12 round split decision.
Warren told thesun.co.uk “I am asking all four officials, the referee and the three judges, to be neutral so there isn’t any repeat of what happened.”

In theory, I think this would be marvelous idea but in this situation I think it’s completely unnecessary. It’s like bringing an umbrella with you on 100 F day in the middle of summer. Chisora is not going to outpoint a fighter like Vitali Klitschko. That just doesn’t happen. Vitali and his brother Wladimir Klitschko never lose rounds, and when they do, it’s a rarity. That’s not how you beat them.

With Wladimir, you knock him out. And with Vitali, he either gets cut up or he injures himself. Chisora isn’t a boxer and or anything close to that. He likes to worm his way in on the inside and work the body. He doesn’t stand at a distance and land jabs to try and win rounds. He may win some rounds against Helenius-types, but not against someone that actually throws jabs and moves like Vitali. There won’t be any rounds won by Chisora in this fight.

So, I think I think Warren has a great idea about asking for neutral officials but not in this fight. They can pretty much put anyone in the judges’ seat for this fight and as long as they know how to wrote 10-9 or 10-8 for Klitschko, they’ll be okay. I mean, it’s going to end in a knockout for Vitali anyway, so the judges will be just like useless figure heads that just sit and wait for the crash. I don’t even know what a judge would be good for in the Chisora-Klitschko fight. They’re just going to be hanging around and waiting for inevitable with Chisora going down for the 10 count. Who needs a neutral judge for that?
