Image: Khan-Peterson: Mystery man revealed MORE CONTROVERSYBy Saqib Khan: THE TRUTH has come out, the man at the centre of this controversy was an IBF OFFICIAL, but the main controversy was he was not assigned to the khan –Peterson fight so what the hell was he doing there mingling with other officials , when he did not have the credentials to be at the judging table. When challenged he quietly walked away but later came back to hassle Michael Walsh again as footage reveals.

IBF released a statement stating the mystery man the official had the authority to be in the arena but not to speak to the officials of Peterson- khan fight and definitely not to celebrate with team Peterson after the fight and touch the score cards.

This is strictly against the rules of boxing, judges and supervisors are supposed to be left on their own no one interferes with them especially to sit next to them and obtain their score sheet.

When I heard of this allegation I was not surprised at all, the fight with Lamont Peterson stunk from the first bell. First the deduction of points was unwarranted, Peterson was never deducted a point for his head barging into Amir Face. Joe cooper is clearly heard every round “Amir stop this Amir stop that” Peterson hardly ever spoken too.
On the night of the fight the odds were ridiculous Peterson was 30-1 underdog to win even a famous sports journalist commented on this Steve bunce stating it was crazy. These odds could have been a sinister plot to other events.

WBA chief Gilberto Mendoza already stated he wanted a rematch immediately as we don’t know the extent of influence this IBF official had on the scoring of this fight. Golden boy promotions and khan promotions are waiting a verdict from IBF.

Most likely this fight will be ruled a no contest as there is too much controversy and a rematch will be taken place in Las Vegas.

As a cricket fan I was disgusted to see spot fixing was still going in the sport however the culprits were caught and sentenced rightfully. I hope we get to the bottom of these allegations and the truth is revealed so boxing can get its dignity back.
