Hatton: Mayweather will beat Pacquiao

By Chris Williams: Former two division world champion Ricky Hatton was asked who he personally thinks will win if and when Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao get in the ring for their mega fight this year or whenever they do agree to meet up. Hatton said he felt that Mayweather would win it due to his technical superiority over the Filipino fighter.
Hatton was stopped by Mayweather in the 10th round in December 2007 in a pretty much one-sided loss for Hatton. In his fight with Pacquiao, Hatton was taken out in the 2nd round in May 2009. Although Pacquiao was able to get Hatton out quicker, Mayweather still looked to be the better fighter in the minds of many boxing fans because of the way he fought defensively in getting out of the way of Hatton’s big shots.
Hatton is the overall judge of who the better fighter is and he sees Mayweather as the better fighter of the two. You can’t argue with a guy that’s been in the ring with both Mayweather and Pacquiao if he wants to make a pick.
The general consensus among boxing fans is that Mayweather is the better fighter, and that’s kind of been proven out with Pacquiao’s struggles with Juan Manuel Marquez in three fights. Marquez is the same fighter that Mayweather easily beat by a one-sided 12 round decision in 2009.

Floyd is superior fighter and should be favourite via a 12 round lop sided decision. Having said tha PAC man will knock may weather out if he catches him as sugar Shane did. My pick is floyd but you d be a fool to disregard PAC. That punch he hit Hutton with destroys any welter weight

mosley said several time that pacquiao power was suspicius.wha he mean? i might refer to the same nandrolone that he , mosley take in few fight. pacquiao was on ped when he beat :diaz, de la hoya, hatton , cotto , clottey and margarito and he was on the same drugs vs mosley and marquez but that was ok becouse the las two guys did the same thing.

Wow. Not only did hatton have to deal wit cortez keepin him off mayweather he had to move up in weight. At least pac fought hatton at hattons weight 140. So lets see, 10 rds higher weight n joe cortez versus barely making out the 1st round ans then almost leaving on a stretcher, hatton is still dazed. Pacquiao made hattin look like he had never been in a boxing ring before without any help from a ref.

Pac has a puncher’s chance early. But by the about the third round, it’ll be a one-sided beat down. Floyd will control the action and pace of the fight and will pick Manny apart. Manny will gut it out (he has a tremendous heart), but in the later rounds it’ll be stopped due to cuts on Manny’s face. Floyd TKO in the 10th.

anybody who has watched the sport of boxing over a number of years will know A+B dosnt= C. In other words regardless what they did to the same opponent it all means jack when the two are ready to square off against each other.
