Image: Chisora-Klitschko: How much punishment will Chisora be able to take before the plug is pulled on this fight?By Scott Gilfoid: It’s academic that Britain’s Dereck Chisora (15-2, 9 KO’s) will be losing to WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitshko (43-2, 40 KO’s) next month on February 18th in Munich, Germany. The losing part isn’t open for debate here; it’s how and in what round will Chisora be getting stopped that’s the debatable part.

I’ve gone through both fighters’ recent bouts and factored in such things as talent levels, flab, hand speed, reach, height and power of the two fighters. I’ve been pretty scientific about this and I’ve come to the conclusion that Chisora is going to get the living daylights beaten out of him.

Yes, he’s going to be getting knocked out viciously. Yes, he’s going to get beaten even worse than Chris Arreola did in his loss to Vitali. Yes, Chisora will be on the canvas wondering what hit him. The way I figure it, Chisora will be picking himself up off the canvas by the 6th or 7th round, looking like a bloody mess. He’ll then face that long walk back to his locker room and from there his hotel followed by the airport for his flight home to the UK.

It won’t be the end of the world for Chisora, because there’s still going to be domestic level heavyweights for him to carve out a good niche fighting, guys like David Price, Tyson Fury, and John McDermott.

The fight itself will resemble Vitali’s bout against Arreola in that Chisora will be plodding forward and looking to throw wild right hands and lefts to the body. The right hands will miss their mark 99 out of 100 times and it will invite powerful left hooks and short right counter shots from Vitali.

Chisora will get this treatment over and over again until he hits the canvas. But I think he’s going to get really beaten up badly in this fight by Vitali if he actually tries to win it. Even if Chisora fights a David Haye type timid safety first fight, he’ll still get trounced by Vitali.
