Chisora destined to be a punching bag for Vitali unless he gets lucky

Image: Chisora destined to be a punching bag for Vitali unless he gets luckyBy Scott Gilfoid: If you look at Dereck Chisora’s best fight of his career, which is probably his last fight against Robert Helenius, you see a guy that is completely made to order for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO’s) in every part of the game.

Even in his best day, Chisora will still likely be nothing more than a punching bag for Vitali. Chisora was able to work his way past Helenius’ jab last December, but couldn’t throw enough punches to get the win.

Some say the fight should have gone to Chisora, but the fact is he couldn’t throw enough punches due to his limited stamina. He likes to take breaks in between punching and that leaves him open to losing rounds. That’s what happened in the Helenius fight.

Chisora couldn’t fight hard enough to win rounds. Vitali is going to be spearing Chisora all night long with his jabs, hooks and right hands. Chisora needs to raise his game because he looks to me like a flabby domestic level heavyweight that the WBC for some reason decided to ranked number #15 after Vitali signed to fight him.

What kind of scenarios can Chisora use to beat Vitali?

Scenario 1: Chisora bum rushes Vitali and tries to batter him into submission that same way that Chisora did against Danny Williams and Carl Baker.

Scenario 2: Chisora boxes Vitali from the outside all night.

Scenario 3: Chisora uses the David Haye method of circling the ring and using head feints all night but throwing next to nothing

Scenario 4: Chisora uses and in and out attack to try and explode on Vitali and then scurry away before he opens up with his heavy artillery.

Scenario 5: Chisora works his way on the inside and stays there all night to try and wear Vitali down.

Sadly, I can’t see any of those strategies working for Chisora. If he bum rushes Vitali, he’ll get smashed in no time. Chisora can’t follow the David Haye method because doing nothing but using head feints is useless. You got to throw punches.
