Salido stops Haya; Paez Jr. defeats Omar Chavez; Mijares destroys Valdez
By Jim Dower: In a fight that almost turned out to be a shocker, WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (37-11-1, 24 KO’s) survived a scare against Filipino Weng Haya (15-5, 8 KO’s) in an eight round TKO on Saturday night at the Palengue de la Feria in Ciudad, Obregon, Sonora, Mexico.
In other action on the card, former WBC super flyweight champion Christian Mijares (44-6-2, 20 KO’s) stopped Alejandro Valzez (25-7-2, 19 KO’s) in the 3rd round.
Omar Chavez (27-1-1, 20 KO’s) lost a 10 round majority decision to Jorge Paez Jr. (30-4-1, 18 KO’s) in somewhat of a shocker. The final judges’ scores were 99-93m 99-93 and 95-95.

yea paez more experience boxer and he has a great future but he got 4 defeats already. salido started good but he was to confident thats why he got down.
salido lookes very good but suddenly he was down twice, wow, but came back same way he started it and won good, chavez was no match for the fearceful paez, this kid has a future, mijares too refined boxer. good boxing night
