Mike Perez easily beats Ahunanya by lopsided decision

By William Mackay: Unbeaten former Cuban amateur star Mike Perez (18-0, 12 KO’s) made it look easy in beating 40-year-old journeyman Friday Ahunanya ( 24-9-3, 13 KO’s) by a lopsided 10 round unanimous decision on Friday night at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, California.
The 6’0″ southpaw Perez had too much for Ahunanya, as he kept in close and simply overwhelmed Ahunanya with nonstop punching. To Ahunanya’s credit, he was able to take an awful beating an remain standing until the very end.
This was a perfect fight to cap off an excellent 2011, which saw Perez win the heavyweight Prizefighter tournament last May with wins over Kertson Manswell, Gregory Tony and Tye Fields. Perez had no luck in trying to get big 6’9” Tyson Fury in the ring after capturing the Prizefighter tourney. Fury and his promoter wanted no part of the high volume punching Perez and opted not to accept the fight.

No way did fury knockout mike I no for a fact that DID NOT HAPPEN as he trains in out club sometimes fury wouldt last with mike and if they did get to fight mike would knock him from pillar to post mike would ko Tyson r the ref would step in fury would not take on mike coz mike would destroy him and he knows it
Perez will destroy fury,don’t see him lasting till the sixth.as for for fury knocking him out in knocking perrez out in sparring,I can clear that one up.it didn’t happen “fact” . Fury is running scared ,a blind man could see this lads
perez has already been knocked out by tyson fury when they spared back in 2010
He trains in my town. Great boxer. Fury should be afraid.
By all accounts when he was knocked out by fury in sparing he was having trouble with his size advantage

Perez will be a title holder within 18 months. So happy he isn’t getting involved in British and commonwealth title nonsense, by the way he would tear fury apart.

Michael Perez is married and lives in county cork Ireland he has been trained by several different trainers in Ireland and spared many fighters including one Tyson fury during there spar it was fair to say it got heated and in the end Perez was knocked out and they never spared again but I bet Perez would like to get even
