Kelly Pavlik arrested
By Eric Thomas: In the latest boxing news, former WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik was reportedly arrested in Canfield, Ohio on Wednesday night for OVI, which is operating a vehicle under the influence, in addition to leaving the scene of an accident.
Pavlik hasn’t fought since May when he struggled to beat little known fringe contender Alfonso Lopez by a 10 round majority decision. Pavlik had the opportunity to face IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute in a fight that would have taken place in November and given Pavlik a big payday but he opted not to take the fight. Pavlik has no fights scheduled.

Some people just love the booze but can’t manage to stay sober…what a drunk-head. Such a waste of talent
Some people are not destined for success…..it makes them self-destructive…think this is the case with Blue collar kelly…big up to all to the working man across usa!!!
We could have had it all. But you blew it
Alcoholism is not a disease, it’s an addiction, there is a world of difference.
I feel sorry for Pavlik on one hand but on the other if he is driving while drunk they should throw the book at him.
pavlik is finished
Not to many people or children were playing in that field to hit with a atv after midnight! Obviously people don’t know all the facts about the person or the city……but, you know, don’t let the truth hold back a good story!!! Haters make the world go round!
Pavlik is another statistic. Not everybody can handle success and Kelly self destructed….
Pavlik is a soup sandwich(a mess)
Not adding up to a positive ending for Pavlik. He’s still young so there’s still time to turn it around. And I’m not talking about boxing, it seems that’s secondary now; he’s fighting for his life. We all have our own paths to take, and the road isn’t always smooth. Good luck Mr. Pavlik.
happy he hit a pole not a person or a child.
If anyone had to live in youngstown ohio they would be drunk all the time also. youngstown is so depressing and sad just a rusted dilapidated dump with toothless men and ugly broads. surprised there aren’t more suicides in that sewer town. bottoms up.
BUM!..
Pavlik is loser personified. just a gutter drunk. sad as pavlik fades into the sewer of youngstown.
This article about Pavlicks addiction. reminded me about Pacquiaos addiction to Peds and steroids. hahahaha!
You know there are some guys in the world that are not made for that phony business called boxing. This is not a new story, former champions that break down and became alcoholics.
What a pecker, bye bye career……
At the end of the day he still is just a man….
Alcohol KO1 Pavlik
How can anyone call him a bum or has been when they never were! He was a world champ, nobody can take that away……..go back to thinking about how sweet you are while starring at your bowling trophies!! Keep your head up Kel!
sad pavlik has no support group around him that can help. pavlik is a helpless addict who will never box again. he needs to be locked up for a year or so to dry out. nice job parents and wife.
The guy is going downhill.
Is Kelly really a pub hanging drunken Brit?? Go figure.
No sympathy.
Damn Kelly had it all. I guess some people are who they are. But Kelly seemed so level headed it just comes as a shock. But BHOP beat it out of him and Sergio cleaned out whatever was left over.
Pavlik is all downhill from here. He needs to wake up and live a normal life and retire.
D-O-N-E
Forget boxing. Kelly needs to save himself.
dont agree with drink driving, but feel sad for kelly who is really a good guy. hope he can overcome his problems.
Some people are not destined for success…it makes them self-destructive…think this is the case with Blue collar kelly…props to the working man!!!
Damn Kelly!! i bought your shirt in 2008 bro WTF!!…alcohol’s a helluva drug…haa
Alcohol is a powerful drug!
Wow just throwing his career away. Sad to see him choose alcohol over boxing
WOW, THAT B HOP SURE TURN THIS GUY LIFE AROUND. SAD CHAD DAWSON BECAREFUL !!
Pavllick is one of the biggest bums in boxing nowadays.
