Froch has excellent shot at landing Bute fight next

By William Mackay: Earlier tonight WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward (25-0, 13 KO’s) shocked boxing fans by saying that IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (29-0, 24 KO’s) would have to earn a shot against him by beating an A level fighter first. Ward won’t be taking on Bute next despite this being the fight that boxing fans wanted him to take.
Since Ward is saying that Bute needs to beat an A level fighter before he’ll fight him, then it serves Bute’s purpose to fight Froch now. Bute can show how much better he is than Ward by beating Froch is possible. It’s a fight that serves both Froch and Bute for what they’re looking for. However, it might be a risky fight that Froch and his management might not want to take at this time, as he was pretty well served up by Ward tonight.
Froch said it himself that he needs to work on some technical aspects of his game. He’s 34, and he can’t afford to sit around tinkering with his style without taking on the top fighters. He might be better off jumping right into the Bute fight. After all, Froch was saying before the fight that Bute wasn’t on his level. This is his chance to prove it in the ring.

Froch is an average boxer slow little defense with a big mouth. typical brit talks a good game but loses in the end as usual to the americans.
Did this fight finish with any medical problems ?
Ward seemed to be having left shooulder problems while waiting for the final decision. Froch looked to have had nose problems ?

On the other hand, Bute vs Johnsonn finished quite bad for both fighters:
- Bute has a fissure at one finger during round 4 (apparently reason why he hit less hard for the last part of the fight). Medical recomandation : not train until January and not hitting until February.
- Johnsonn broke both elbows tendons. Medical recomandatin 3 months rest.
According to their injuries, their fight was preaty rough.
Do you have any new concerning the health of Ward or Froch after this fight ?

ward should be fighting bute. I don’t get how he can say Bute is not on his level when he’s been on top of the super middleweight class. Its seems to me Ward is scared to fight Bute. Ward is such a boring fighter he never knocks anyone out and he doesn’t have a big fan base like Bute so he should be begging for a fight with Bute.
I would really like to see Froch and Bute.I was surprised at Wards skills last night and I think so was Froch.If FRoch can’t beat Bute then he’s not as good as thought.
if Froch was smart he would stay far from Bute, but everyone knows he aint so he will face Bute next and be knock out, let see then what excuse Ward will be inventing not to face Bute
Froch is way too slow to beat Bute. Froch moves like he is frozen telegraphing slow punches that seldom land. Froch is average but talks great as all brits do thinking they are actually good.
i really like froch vs bute because i think froch would crack that chin wide open. He looked overtrained against ward but even the conditioning might not have won him the fight
Ward is the best all round fighter at present.That includes Pacquiao and Mayweather.The only down part of his game is the lack of extreme power,but he has reasonable power in both hands just not one punch knockout.Aside of this he is good at every aspect of pugilism and i dont see anyone in his division who stands a chance against him at present.In fact i would go as far as to say that he is the pound for pound best boxer in the world.His defence is as good if not better than Mayweathers and his attack is easily on parr with Pacquiao.Unlike these two he is good at both.
ard should take on Kessler in a rematch. Kessler deserves a rematch i think. If Ward plays it fair and beats Kessler then he can call himself he best in the division. We need to see Kessler vs. Ward on neutral ground I think and Ward needs to prove himself also fighting outside US. Kessler vs. Ward in Denmark!

Froch lost and lost bad … William mackay is crying so are a lot of haters often making racila slurs gainast Khan and haye and who love Froch…. Carl Froch is Polish …so shame
Bute’s interest is to unify 2 belts … not take Froch.
Only the 4th belt (WBO) is between Stiglitz and Kessler in April. I don’t think Bute will wait until April to talk with either of them in order to be refused again. Bute will probably take another fight with only his belt on the table.
Will it be against Froch ???
Bute has another problem … he must take his mandatory vs a B fighter in less than one year. If Bute does not take this mandatory in April than he will have to do it 2012 fall. This means that if Bute fights Froch in April 2012 he has very reduced options for 2012 fall (Ward, mandatory or the WBO beltholder).
So if he does take Froch now, that he will probably give up IBF belt and go LHW. Maybe this is the path Bute shoul take, anyway he was saying he has dificulties making the weight and he wants to go to LHW.
Similar to Ward, Bute is very high, and does not have many options left at SMW.
Bute should fave either Froch or Dirrel next. Lets face it, by staying out of the Super Six Bute has had it easy while Froch Ward Kessler etc, have all taken the hard road fighting each other. Besides If Bute can beat Froch as convincingly of even KO Froch then it builds hype for a PPV with Ward. But Bute has to beat somebody known and he has to look good doing it to build the fight. but something tells me if enough $$$ is on the table then Ward takes the fight
Froch vs Bute, this is the fight we want to see next. If Bute can beat Froch than maybe he deserve a chance at the super six winner Andre Ward. Ward is right about Bute. Bute should prove that he is in the same league.
So, Froch + Ward together get just 1.5 milions for the super six final , pavlik refuses 1.35 with Bute, kessler refuses probably over 1.5, it is clear that money is not the problem here. all say that they can beat Bute, so where’s the problem?
yes it is surprising ward won’t take Bute next to unify again, but Froch vs Bute would be great to see. We haven’t seen the best of the Cobra last night, he was a bag of nerves and too slow to start. McKracken should have changed the game plan earlier. Can’t think who ward will fight next, but one thing’s for sure, FROCH BUTE will make a LOT more money! Mackay is right for once, Froch should get in there with Bute as soon as!

yeah this fight makes more sense than Ward vs Bute, lets see what #bute can do against super 6 runner up before they throw him in with ward. Bute hasnt done enythin to deserve the super winner.
bute improved a lot. it will be no problem for him to win against froch.
