It’s the final of the Super-Six tournament.

The Supersix tournament was a great idea on paper, but I think personally its gone on for too long and we have got to the point now where people actually forget that Saturdays fight it’s the final.

But enough about the tournament, let’s get onto the fight itself.

The bookies seem to be making Ward the favourite going into this fight. He’s unbeaten, coming off a good win over Arthur Abraham and seems really confident going into the fight with Froch.

Ward just seems to me like a snowball going down a mountain. There seems to be no stopping him ever since his Olympic win hes gone from strength to strength. But The Cobra will be his biggest and toughest test yet.

Andre Ward also has something that Carl Froch doesnt and that’s a win over Mikkel Kessler. Having listened to many interviews with the Nottingham fighter it really does bother him to this day that he lost on points in Denmark. I think Froch feels it’s a fight that he would have won in any other venue, but it also bugs him that Ward has that victory over Kessler.

Froch shouldnt be underestimated though. He is coming off a win over Jamaican Glen Johnson, which came after a very impressive performance against Arthur Abraham.

The Cobra has also shown he doesn’t mind going to fight abroad and upset the odds. The fight with Jermaine Taylor sticks out in my mind as one of the greatest shows of heart and desire to win in modern-day boxing. Down on the cards going into the 12th but managing to dig in and stop the American.

I’m not sure where I see the fight going.

Its going to be a tough fight for both fighters, especially if they get dragged into their opponent’s style.

Ward is going to want to box at his pace and he’s going to actually want to box, where as I see the Cobra wanting to take it to the trenches, really ask some questions about Ward that havent really been asked of him before.

I am very interested to see how Froch can deal with Wards slick skills and if he can. But at the same time, I’d love Froch to take Ward into the brawling territory, see if he can handle it.

Making a prediction is hard, but I just see Ward being abit too much for Froch. Im not sure he will stop Froch, but it will most likely be a points win.

There is the other factor that the fight is in America, something that must have crossed Froch’s mind. I just hope we have a really good fight and we’re not discussing the referees performance afterwards.
