Image: Amir Khan or Amir Khant?By Chris Holbourne: Amir Khan, since that brutal loss to Breidis Prescott, has bounced back a new fighter, and is now working with Freddie Roach, who has improved him a lot more.

Since that against the odds knockout defeat in 2008, Khan has shown true fighting spirit and has not lost a fight. In those 3 years since he has gone on to win two world titles the WBA and the IBF and beating some great fighters on the way.

He came over from Britain to retain the WBA belt against Paulie Malignaggi in Paulie’s back yard against a hostile crowd an shown great boxing to get the TKO in the 11th.

No one can forget that battle Khan had with Marcos Maidana. Maidana is known as one the best punchers in the division, and Khan lasted a late scare to win a 12 round unanimous decision. Khan’s suspect chin was proven to be strong.

His next defence was against Paul McCloskey, not a big name but was still the current European Champion. Through out the fight khan was dominate, pretty much chasing him round the ring. A clash of heads leaded to McCloskey having a cut beneath his eye, Khan was up on all the judges’ score cards and won by technical decision. This is one of Khans performances to date but still dominated a dangerous fighter.

Khan’s last fight was against the renown fighter Zab Judah. Khan gave Zab a lesson on boxing. Superior combinations, superior speed and a lot better punching power was shown by Khan. Zab in the past went all the way with P4P king, Floyd Mayweather. Khan was able to stop Zab in the 5th taking Judah’s IBF title as well.

Khan’s next fight is against Lamont Peterson on December 10th. I’m guessing once again Khan will dominate from the first bell, and stop Peterson in the later rounds.

Khan has got a great fan base, great boxing skills, speed, power, a great coach in Freddie Roach, and has youthfulness on his side, who’s to say he won’t go up in weight and dominate that division like he has with the light welterweight division? My bet is Khan to be the new force in boxing, Pound for Pound ranked number 1 by 2013.

Amir definitely Khan
