COMPUBOX, EYES AND REASON: PACQUIAO-MARQUEZ JUDGMENT

By Reni M. Valenzuela: Ridiculous but painful reality in many of life’s situations such as when one is made to believe the “four” that the “machine” or “rule” is telling him to be the exact right number when it is clear as crystal to be “eight” at close range, before his very naked eyes. This happens during election time and in court cases where the losing candidates “win” and the innocent is punished while the guilty is relieved.

Computers generate figures which are only as accurate as the qualified data encoded and as credibly reliable as the application system that was put in place by certain “technical” people. Machines can be humanly influenced every which way they can be externally and extensively manipulated at the whim of their masters. Thus computers can only be as credible and effective as the integrity of those who operate or have access to them.

Above all, reason and eyewitness.

Whatever numbers or statistics the CompuBox has generated to tell us who won in the recent fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez last November 12, it doesn’t make sense if the numbers don’t agree with correct “applied mathematics” wherein the four or five senses are well in control and in superintendence, analyzing computer reports which don’t have brain.

How foolish indeed to sing “Silent night” when the accompanying music is “O Holy Night.”

It is interesting that common sense is so uncommon to “experts” and “well-educated.” And it is foreboding that they almost always seem to miss the mark. When scores and statistics would tell otherwise what eyes could see in full view and what common sense dictates, only the disillusioned, mentally incapacitated or blind-folded are inclined to be persuaded by what others are insisting out of bias and because of the “machine.”

I am for a Pacquiao win. But sorry for myself, Marquez won!

lol this place is full of pactards

when a retard make a coment of “foot steping” as a dirty tactic, in a fight against a SOUTHPAW and an ORTHODOX boxer, u know that this retard dont know shiet about boxing…

  • Larry Holmes says:

Latest FOOT STOMPING count is 17 with over 56 attempts by the Aztec Warrior Marquez. It’s difficult to convince minds that have already been predisposed to IGNORANCE and HATE, I can’t help you there. However, you can help yourself by looking over the video and count the FOOT STOMPING technique the Aztec Warrior Marquez had learned.

The Aztec Warrior Marquez had the nerve to say he was cheated….

The Aztec Warrior Marquez CHEATED and still lost…

The rest of the fanbois that thinks The Aztec Warrior Marquez had won needs a better TV.

    PEACE….

  • junior says:

compubox and judges are correct and accurate. Foot stepping and headbutt is clearly dirty tricks to lose ones concentration of opponents. so it means cheaters never win.

  • miksy says:

reni….you did not include in your formula of applied mathematics marquez’s stepping on manny’s foot as part of his strategy. you miscalculated stupid….your reasoning was stupid and you are blind….

  • Gladdy says:

nice, i learned from this one

  • Gladdy says:

Wow! This is a learning piece for all

  • Pacmanian Devil says:

How could Pacquiao unleash powerful shots or get good leverage with Marquez constantly stepping on his foot? It’s like, how can you make a jumpshot when somebody puts his foot over yours? I have a lot of respect for Marquez’ talents but I think he abused Pacquaio’s kindness by stepping on his foot. Pacquiao is not one to complain about this, but as I saw it, I believe Marquez did it intentionally.

  • BIG NOSE says:

manny thought it was cramps that made him unable to move, actually it was jmm who keep on stepping on his foot.

  • Ceaz says:

Idiots! Watch the fight in slow motion, count the punches and score each round. No doubt in my mind Marquez beat Pac.

  • Elyx says:

The Marquez-Pacquiao 3 has uncanny resemblance to Cotto-Mosley battle. I thought Mosley won that fight (even CompuBox supports this), but Cotto being the champion and aggressor (even less than Pacquiao) were favored by judges with a UD.

  • BoxingDawg says:

Marquez lost the fight in the 11th and 12th round; Nacho told Marquez he was winning … big mistake… and Marquez lost again.

  • Elyx says:

On the otherhand, machines don’t lie my friend.

  • Jason says:

To all the Filipinos who’ve forgotten Pacquiao’s heroism for your country, sad to say that it’s very frustrating and “crabby”. Pacquiao clearly won the 3rd battle, Marquez the challenger backpedalled most of the time and didn’t bring PacMan down. A must see? Mayweather can fight with any of Cotto and Margarito which will give as an idea of how he will stand a fight with Pacquiao. Mayweather obviously avoids them including Pacquiao, all-strong slug-out fighters. Mayweather may have beaten Marquez but give him a rematch with the new improved foot-stepping, head-butting Marquez (videos now viral on youtube) and let’s see.

“analyzing computer reports which don’t have brain.”

    Beautifully put.

  • BoxingDawg says:

    It was a close fight.

Marquez stopped fighting in the 10th and lost the fight. Manny kept fighting and won.

Marquez was too afraid to open up because he will get hurt by Manny’s attack.

Manny, won the 11th & 12th round and won; the scored card was:
    -Dave Moretti 115-113
    -Robert Hoyle 114-114
    -Glenn Trowbridge 116-112

If Marquez kept fighting and won that last two rounds, he would have won the fight; score card would be:
    -Dave Moretti 113-115
    -Robert Hoyle 112-116
    -Glenn Trowbridge 114-114
