“Comanche Boy” George Tahdooahnippah will be the featured speaker November 17 at the Diabetes Prevention/Tobacco Awareness & Prevention Dinner presented by the Upper Sioux Indian Community at the Prairie’s Edge Convention Center in Granite Falls, MN, from 5:30-9 PM. Tahdooahnippah is the Health and Fitness Promoter for the Comanche Nation Diabetes Program, and an enrolled member of the Comanche Tribe.
He is also an undefeated boxer, holding the WBC Continental Americas middleweight title. Tahdooahnippah will deliver a message on how Indian communities can fight such addictions and diseases as diabetes and emerge winners by living healthier, smarter lives. “I’m honored the Upper Sioux Community invited me to speak about these issues we all face. It’s important for me to try to help as many of our Indian communities as I can,” Tahdooahnippah said.
