Pacquiao: Mayweather has to show he wants to fight me

By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao says he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr., but complains that Mayweather has to show he’s the one that wants to make the fight happen.
Pacquiao said this to the LA Times: “I don’t need to be looking for or chasing a fight. I want the fight, but I cannot force him [Mayweather] to take it He has to show he wants to fight me.”
I think the feelings are mutual for Mayweather but in a different way. He can’t make Pacquiao agree to stay in the U.S to be available for the drug testing that he wants. If Pacquiao doesn’t want to stay in the U.S during the entire eight weeks of training camp for the random blood tests, then it’s pretty much going to be a nonstarter.
This is what’s holding Mayweather up. He wants the full random blood tests without any breaks leading up to the fight. Mayweather was ready to make the fight happen last year, but the best he could get from Pacquiao was for testing to be done up until three weeks before the fight.
At that point, Pacquiao wouldn’t be taking the tests. Naturally, that ended negotiations and there hasn’t been any way to reach an agreement since then. If Pacquiao agrees to stay in the U.S for the FULL random blood tests all the way up until the day before the fight, he’s got a Mayweather fight, but without that then Pacquiao is going to have to stick to fighting other guys.

I think Mayweather made if very clear that he wanted to fight Pacquaio. First, he come out of retirement and disposed of Marquez the rated #3 P4P and afterwards set he target on PEDquaio. Common sense would tell anybody that Mayweather could have stayed retired if he didn’t want the fight. PEDquiao walked away from negotiations with RBT with a 14-day cut-off was on the table. This he did after Mayweather comprised his initial 30 request. PEDquaio is a FRAUD.

When Manny Pacquiao gave a required NSAC blood withdrawal for the first Morales fight back in 2006, on the day of the weigh in, 2 days before the fight, Pacquiao’s blood test came out clean! If not, we would’ve heard about it! It would’ve been plastered all over this website, as well as other sites!
Pacquiao followed all the rules and regulations of NSAC boxing protocol. Pacquiao lost that fight! So, your arguement holds no substance!

Espn already said that no matter what happens, Floyd will always make excuses to avoid fighting Pac. Pac has always trained the 1st half of his training camp in the Philippines, then the 2nd half @ the Wild Card Gym. Just another excuse. Floyd will lose to Pac on both fronts, in the ring and in the Courtroom.
I believe Manny is brave but Arum know’s he can’t beat Floyd.
I like both guy’s talent but Mayweather is superior to Pacquiao inside a Boxing ring & that’s why this fight will not happen.

Anything stated publicly by each fighter means nothing, if each side has agreed to random testing up till the fight than put that on paper and keep it moving. Stating that you will take the test publicly is nothing more than a bluff until you put it in writting.

I’m done listening to the back forth between manny and floyds camps. They should do a public negotiation so that we can see what’s really being agreed on and whats not being agreed on.

Paquiao aggreed to to testing right up to fight day, he didn’t agree to staying in the U.S.A. for the entire training camp, and no pro fighter would agrree to that(no fighter is going to let another tell him where he can and cannot train).And for Mayweather to want that he knows no way would any fighter agree to those terms.What if Pac told Mayweather, “ok I will train my entire camp in the U.S. and be tested there,but you Mayweather must train and be tested in the Phillipines” would Mayweather agree?
