By Gerardo Granados: PHOTO CREDIT: Gene Blevins – Hoganphotos/Golden Boy Promotions – Once again future hall of fame member Bernard Hopkins faces a young contender but now he might be the favorite to win against the former light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson.

After reading the opinions of the Boxingnews24.com panel of experts, I couldn’t do anything less but to disagree, I believe that Bernard Hopkins has the experience to adjust to the limited skilled Dawson, besides Hopkins is an old lion who packs a big bag of dirty tricks and I don’t think he will grow old over night.

The youth and stamina of Chad could not be enough for him to defeat Bernard because Hopkins seems to keep in great shape between fights, also he still has good speed, reflexes and timing, he is also very smart inside the ring.

As for Chad he doesn’t has a great defense, he leaves big holes and on times gets hit with ease by rights; maybe his major weakness is his average power because he wont hurt Bernard and keep him worried on his counter punches.

I believe the first half of the fight will be close, but in the second part Hopkins will start to dominate Dawson once he decipher his boxing style and adjust, Bernard has good defensive skills and Chad is quite predictable on his attack. I will pick “The executioner” to win by late stoppage maybe TKO11-12 round. I have been wrong before but I have also been lucky a couple of times. So, who do you pick?
