Hammer Outclasses Living To Retain WBF Title
With a dominant performance, World Boxing Federation (WBF) Women’s World Middleweight Champion Christina Hammer remained undefeated and retained her title for the second time Friday night at the Brandenburg Halle in Frankfurt, Germany.
The 21-year-old world champion was a level above her game nine year older opponent, and out-boxed and out-landed her in virtually every round. Living made an honest attempt to make an impression, and tried to close the range to work on the inside, but couldn’t find the key to hurt or seriously pressure Hammer.
In the end there was no question who would be the winner, but the fight was entertaining and drew plenty of cheers from the more than 3000 spectators in attendance. Hammer’s WBO World title was also on the line in the fight promoted by SES Boxing and televised throughout Germany on Sport1.
