Instead of facing Ward on October 29th, and losing his title, Froch will be fighting Ward likely in December, but still losing his title.

Nothing really changes. Ward will still be the better fighter in December as he would have been had they made the fight in October. The injury gives Froch more time to train and think of a strategy to use to beat Ward, but it won’t work. You can come up with the greatest strategy devised by man and Froch is still going to lose. It takes “T-A-L-E-N-T to beat Ward and Froch simply doesn’t have enough of that to get the job done. It’s not that Ward is unable. He’s clearly not. I think there are possible one or two fighters in the division that have the physical tools to beat him, but I can’t see those fights being made in the near future. The only thing that’s important right now is Froch vs. Ward, and that I see as a non-winnable fight for Froch.

Let’s look at the advantages Ward has over Froch:

Speed

Ring intelligence

Defensive ability

Power

Experience

Foot speed

Adaptability

As you can see, Froch doesn’t really have much going for him. I don’t really know of any area that I can give Froch an edge in. Nope, I can’t think of any area. Ward is just too good right now to be beaten. It wold take a major injury for him to lose like a torn rotator cuff or something bad like a twisted angle or a torn up knee.
