Amir Khan says that Floyd Mayweather has verbally agreed to fight him

By Dale Clark: Amir Khan is once again talking about a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2012. Khan has today told Sky Sports news, ‘After Lamont [Peterson] I will move up to fight at 147lbs (welterweight). I will have one more fight at 147 and then fight Floyd. This time next year could be the big fight for me. I have ambitions and one of them is to fight Floyd Mayweather and beat him, but I have got Lamont Peterson to beat first. I know I have to focus on this one fight because one mistake can change your life and I don’t want that to happen’.

Do you honestly believe that Floyd didnt hurt his ex-wife or poke a security guard? It’s an act of felony but nope until proven guilty, yet for most people believe he’s guilty.

@im cool…. What would be better is a 4 fight tournament. Khan vs berto ortiz vs maidana. Winner fights each other then winner of tournament gets floyd. That would be hot. And for all those who keep praying for floyds downfall get a life and stop being haiters. The man has done more in his life then most will do in a hundred.

What happened to the talks about May fighting Martinez? Seems suspect that Martinez pulls out a KO and all of a sudden May wants to fight Kahn? Did I miss something, and who cares about a verbal contract, didn’t May say Pac was next? Why would he fight someone trained and conditioned by the same team as Pac but not Pac himself, this whole round and round is getting really lame. Like listening to a bunch of school girls talk about fighting each other at this point.

A couner puncher vs an outboxer … its the perfect scenario for one of the most boring fights in boxing history, i wouldnt be surprised if khan makes his retirement after this fight (whos obviously going to be a Loss)
Much as I don’t like Floyd fighting style and arrogance… but I don’t see Khan having the slightest chance to win against Floyd. Boring fight should it happen.

I have seen quite a few of floyd fights and I have never seen him pick apart. I curious to know what has Kwan did that anybody can say that he will be picked apart. This is the hardest guy in boxing to hit. The problem for Kwan is…he has terrible accuracy and terrible balance. He was just throwing himself around the ring with Judah. He has a questionable chin. He lacks the skills and the patience that it will take to beat a guy like floyd. This is not even close to being a good fight for Kwan. Kwan is going to take alot of punishment off floyds counter punches cause Kwan boxing skills are weak. The only thing floyd is worrying about is can Kwan beat someone that will take him to atleast the #3 p4p list so he can make some money off him.
Khan will demolish Floyd gradually .he will pick him apart as the fight progresses

Floyd would have to go to the UK if he did take the fight cause nobody in the US would pay to this fight. Kwan is like any other boxer. He wants to get a big payday. They all know where the money is. Floyd has all the skills Kwan wishes he had.

First, Mayweather waxes Khan easy. Khan is good but who has Khan faced that equals a Floyd Mayweather
Second, I actually think Floyd takes this fight b/c Manny aint happening anytime soon b/c Arum wants that Bradley/Pacman fight. Plus that English fans bring Money and Money loves Money.
Third, pump the breaks on this fight until you hear it from Mayweathers mouth. he fight who he wants when he wants and he just made a mint off the Ortiz fight so it might be a year or two b/f Mayweahter needs the cash again
