Kessler moves training camp to Spain
World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Middleweight Champion Emeritus Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33 KOs) has moved his training camp to Southern Spain. Together with his trainer Jimmy Montoya, the Viking Warrior will continue the preparation for the November 5 clash against World Boxing Organization (WBO) Champion Robert Stieglitz (40-2, 23 KOs) in the Spanish sun. “Denmark has been blessed with a lot of great things – great people, a great capital and some great boxers. But it has not always been blessed with great weather,” Montoya said. “It will be good to train outside in the sun for a couple of days. It´s a very long training camp so it´s nice to get out and about and do something different from the usual routine.”
Kessler will be back in Copenhagen on Tuesday for the media day.
