If that’s not enough, Dundee also is picking the aging 38-year-old Juan Manuel Marquez over WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on November 12th.

Dundee said this on the Mayweather-Ortiz fight in an interview at Ring.tv: “Tough fight, but if I had to choose to fight against Mayweather, it would be one who fights like Ortiz. Result? Tough, split decision. But Ortiz may be the winner.”

I disagree with that pick big time. Ortiz is looking heavy and slow in recent work outs, and he doesn’t possess the boxing knowledge to compete with Mayweather. This is a mismatch on paper, and I expect it to be a mismatch in reality. If a limited fighter like Lamont Peterson can outbox Ortiz to earn a 10 round draw, then Mayweather will easily beat Ortiz without any problems.

Dundee added this about the Pacquiao-Marquez fight: “Probably Pacquiao’s toughest fight, because Marquez is a guy who knows how to fight him. Decision, split, Marquez.”

I can agree with this. Marquez fought Pacquiao twice before, out-boxing Pacquiao both times, yet not getting the decision. The first fight was a 12 round draw, and the second saw Pacquiao win a very controversial 12 round split decision. I see both of those fights as losses for Pacquiao, and he’s now 0-2 against Marquez as far as I’m concerned. I think Marquez may have enough left to get a narrow decision. The only factor that helps Pacquiao is that he waited three years until Marquez turned 38 to fight him again. Marquez may be old enough now for Pacquiao to actually beat him this time around without controversy.

Dundee also has a pick for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, saying “Mayweather wins…I think he beats Pacquiao.”

I totally agree with that pick 100 percent. Mayweather is a much better fighter than the fundamentally flawed Pacquiao, and I see this as a very easy decision for Mayweather with him winning every round.
