Image: Dirrell: Ward's going to whip Froch's backside anywayBy Scott Gilfoid: Coming to the defense of his friend WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s), the talented Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13 KO’s) had some well chosen words to say about WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (28-1, 20 KO’s) on his twitter today.

Here is what Dirrell said:

Dirrell: “Froch is pathetic. Ward’s gonna whip that a** anyway. For Froch it’s frustrating, but don’t be so damn arrogant and disrespectful to the opponent. It’s classless.”

Dirrell is pure class plain and simple. He should give lessons to Froch on manners and etiquette, because Dirrell oozes class. This is why he’ll likely end up in the broadcasting booth when his career is over. He’s well spoken, courteous, pleasing to the eye and knows boxing backwards and forwards.

Here’s what Froch had to say about Ward on his twitter:

“I’m really worried. He’s lost this one already. I was cut a week before the [Jean] Pascal fight & still boxed. I do know he’s definitely got a scratch above his eyebrow. Sorry to all my loyal fans but 5 weeks isn’t enough time to heal a scratch.”

Notice the difference? Froch is taking it into the gutter and assuming the worst of Ward because of his terrible cut that he suffered this week over his right eye. How can you call a cut the size of your hand a scratch. Ward suffered a bad cut and it’s going to take awhile for it to heal. Froch is just going to have deal with that. I know it hurts having to wait, but patience is a virtue. This will good for Froch to wait, because he can have more time to stew on what’s going to happen to him once he does get in the ring with Ward. It’s going to be bad for Froch I hate to say. But I hope Froch shows a little class in the weeks to come while we’re waiting on the fight. Froch needs to take lessons from Dirrell and show some humility.
