Mosley could fight Berto

By Eric Thomas: 39-year-old former three division world champion Shane Mosley (46-7-1, 39 KO’s) could be soon facing Andre Berto (27-1, 21 KO’s) in the near future if Berto gets by IBF welterweight champion Jan Zaveck (31-1, 18 KO’s) on September 3rd, according to the latest boxing news.
That you would think would be Mosley. Berto will have to beat Khan to a fight against Mosley if he wants that fight. Mosley will be turning 40 next month on September 7th, and he hasn’t won a sight in two years since he beat Antonio Margarito in January 2009. Mosley lost his last bout to Manny Pacquiao last May, and in his fight before that he fought to a 12 round draw with Sergio Mora. And last year, Mosley was easily beaten by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May 2010.
Mosley has looked terrible in all three fights and appears to be a washed up fighter. However, that likely won’t prevent Berto and/or Khan from taking on Mosley to add his famous name to their resumes at the same time getting a decent payday along with it. Mosley has the name but without the danger that he brought in his prime years 10 years ago.

Berto is to fast for Mosley but he won’t knock Mosley out.
Mosley, I think you are a ring legend but maybe you should take an easy opponent your first fight back. Not saying you couldn’t beat Berto but he is hungry know after his first loss and you (Mosley) can’t afford another lost know. Take an easy fight bro then a tough fighter. Trust me be smart. Thats what guys like Cotto and others do, when they loose they come back with an easy fight, to build their confidence and get the publics trust back.

i see mosley beating berto.he may have lost to floyd and manny but there the two best fighters in the world.he managed to finish the fight against both of them on his feet and didnt get busted up bad like or ko like hatton,cotto,margharito etc.

This would be a great fight! These two have some unfinished business. Worth watching, as long as it’s not on pay per view!
But I wouldn’t be surprised if Mosley puts a beating on Berto if Mosley comes to fight and trains the right way. Mosley indeed has the talent to do it.
But at 40 years old, it ain’t gonna happen. Because at 40, the one thing you’ll need the most are YOUR LEGS, which is even more important than developing stamina. And this is something you can’t regain at that age. Legs is what is KEY to endurance, and if you don’t have your legs, you can forget about it.
And then once Manny beats a one-loss Floyd, the Pachaters will have their excuses lined up:
1) Floyd was “shot” because Ortiz exposed him
2) Floyd was past his prime
3) Floyd was old
etc etc
Nice lil payday for Mosley in order to pay for his flying lessons.
Nice lil tune up for Berto in order to earn a rematch with Ortiz.
Nice lil Friday Night Fight.
The funny thing about all of this is that once Berto beats Shane, Berto will fight Ortiz after Ortiz beats Floyd.
Why won’t Ortiz fight Manny then, you may ask.
Because Manny loves to fight guys coming off losses. Therefore Manny will fight Floyd. lol
I like this fight, if Mosley win. Pacquiao win over Mosley is legit. If he loss, he is not Bernard Hopkins

I doubt Mosley fights Khan because Mosley left Golden Boy. The Berto fight makes some sense but does Mosley bring any money to the table anymore Im not sure.

Why not? Both of them lose their fights and as far as I remember that was the plan all along. Mosley was supposed to fight Berto the first quarter of last year. Berto cancelled it because of his country Haiti disasters problem.
