Maidana spits venom at Khan, says he’s trying to avoid fighting him

By William Mackay: WBA light welterweight champion Marcos Maidana reacted angrily to Amir Khan’s twitter remarks today about Maidana having possibly payed Robert Guerrero a step aside fee to get him out of their scheduled August 27th fight in San Jose, California. Guerrero hurt his left shoulder in training, but Khan doubts the authenticity of the injury. Maidana said this on his twitter about Khan’s remark:
I hope Maidana doesn’t hold his breath waiting for Khan to accept that offer, because isn’t even slightly interested in facing Maidana again. Instead of facing the much more dangerous Maidana, who almost knocked Khan out in their fight in December, Khan is hoping to fight Erik Morales, the fighter that Maidana just beat last April.
Khan supposedly is interested in fighting the winner of the September 17th fight between Morales and Lucas Matthysse, but I doubt he’ll fight the hard hitting Matthysse if he wins. That would be like taking on slightly weaker version of Maidana. I can’t see that happening in this lifetime, not with a weak puncher like Lamont Peterson, Khan’s IBF light welterweight mandatory challenger, waiting to get a shot against him. This would give Khan an excuse to fight him rather than Matthysse.

LOL! Maidana won more than two rounds, and if not for the extra point Khan would have won by only 1 or 2 points on the two cards who had it 114-111..one judge had Khan winning by only 1 point. Khan took a beating in that fight, and everyone knows it except his hardcore fans. He will never fight Maidana again..ever.

‘Queen con’, judging by his insults I would guess that Maidana uses this website. As with Prescot, the people want to see a rematch, the money making potential is there. Who wants to see Amir ‘girly boy’ Khan fight either Morales or Matthysse. Not me. I would not pay the PPV fee for either of those fights. Khan fans are clueless.

Why should khan go over old ground again? He beat him fair and square, knocked him down too! He got caught in round 10 so now people think he deserves a rematch, to be honest, he doesnt deserve one, and im sure he will do fine without khan!

A-mere-con is too scared to face Maidana agian because that puts a big payday against Mayweathet in jeopardy. I feel A-mere-con won the first fight but not definitive enough. A rematch should take place. That tenth round is back of Cons mind though and thats the last thing he wants to go through again.
Khan will NEVER fight him again. He has too much to lose. He will be safely guided through the rest of his career from now on and this talk of him wanting Floyd, well that is the funniest thing I have EVER heard.

like khan said he is having one more fight at 140 then moving up to 147.fighting the morales matthyse winner makes the most sense coz then he will have all the 3 major belts at 140 (wba,wbc,ibf.)

Rematch Khan wins again if Maidana thinks he can go throwing wild swingin punches early on he will gass out by 4th and then get KO’d by round 7 Khan wins too skillful for that type of fighter.

Maidana almost knocked Khan out, Haye almost Knocked Wlad out, Chisora almost knocked Fury out but guess what they didnt win by almost infact Maidana wasnt even close to and he almost was knocked out and was lucky in the 1st round for fight not to be stopped an later in the fight was lucky the ref did give him a count, Khan proved to be miles better than Maidana.
Maidana won at the most 2 maybe 3 rounds by going in swinging nothing else no skill no nothing just throwing because thats all he had he aint a boxer thats why he loses decisions he cant box just wild swings.
