CARLOS NEGRON WILL FACE VETERAN EPIFANIO MENDOZA IN THE 6TH EDITION OF “A PUÑO LIMPIO” SEPTEMBER 2 IN BAYAMON, PUERTO RICO

Former Olympian Carlos Negron will have a hard test next September 2 when he faces veteran Epifanio Mendoza in the 6th edition of the series “A Puño Limpio”, to be held at the coliseum Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, in a PR Best Boxing Promtions (PRBBP) in association with Top Rank Inc., to be televised live on WAPA America.

Negron (13-0, 9 KOs) will make his fourth fight of 2011 and his fourth as a heavyweight against Pineda (31-12-1, 27 KOs), from Colombia, in a six round bout, co-featuring the show.

Headlining the card, Jose “Chelo” González (16-0, 12 KOs) will defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino Lightweight title in a 10 round fight against Eddie Soto (12-2, 4 KOs). Gonzalez is ranked #8 in the WBO lightweight scene. In another co-feature, former Olympian McJoe Arroyo (7-0, 4 KOs) back to the ring in a six rounds 115lb bout. Arroyo doesn’t fight since January when he was hurt in the mouth in his win over Eduardo Melendez.
