Haye yaps away during the final stare down with Wladimir, looking petrified

By Scott Gilfoid: WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) did all the talking today at the final weigh-in for Saturday’s fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s). Haye literally never stopped talking, even during the stare down between him and Wladimir. Haye continued to yap away while Wladimir stared at him with emotionless eyes. It was like watching the eyes of a great white shark looking at a tiny fish that he’s getting ready to eat.

Wladimir never uttered a word and just stared at Haye. This seemed to throw Haye, as he appeared to be looking for a human reaction, a sign that Wladimir was afraid. There was no fear in Wladimir’s eyes, only the look of a seek and destroy predator about to tear up a smaller almost defenseless prey.

After seeing the weigh-in and the final stare down, I feel sorry for Haye. The final look that Wladimir gave Haye spoke a million words. Haye isn’t in Wladimir’s class and will be ripped apart like a seal getting thrashed by a great white shark. Wladimir is huge, while Haye is small and way out of his cruiserweight class. Haye’s constant yapping indicated to me that he’s afraid, very afraid of what’s in store for him tomorrow night.

Haye is going to lose and lose badly, folks. He’s too small and he’s not fighting one of his 38-year-olds that he’s been building his heavyweight record on. Wladimir is several classes above the likes of Nikolay Valuev, who Haye went life and death with in 2009, winning a controversial 12 round majority decision. Looking at that fight, you can see the outcome of this fight. Haye struggled against a guy that Wladimir would have torn apart easily in two or three rounds, even if he was playing with him.
