FRANKIE GOMEZ VS. ADRIAN GRANADOS 9/26

CHICAGO, IL (July 26, 2011) Undefeated junior welterweight rising stars; Frankie Gomez of East Los Angeles, California and Chicago’s Adrian “EL Tigre” Granados will clash in the eight round main event on Friday, August 26th at “SOLO BOXEO TECATE”: WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 18 at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion.

Just 19 years old, the heavy-handed Gomez has impressively won his first ten professional bouts, eight by knockout since turning professional in April of 2010. The former amateur standout is coming off an outstanding performance on July 1st; a devastating fourth round stoppage of Khadaphi Proctor at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

Born and raised in nearby Cicero, Illinois, the 21-year-old Granados, 6-0-1 (4KO’s) has been a fan favorite for Chicago fight fans since his pro debut in September 2008.

Having trained in the past with legendary boxing brothers Juan Manuel and Rafael Marquez and their Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain, the all action Granados has drawn huge crowds at the UIC Pavilion with his exciting performances.

In his last outing on July 15th, Granados looked dominant, taking a six round decision over Antton Slaughter in Burbank, IL.
