Wladimir: I will punish Haye for the good of boxing

By Jason Kim: Photo: Stefan Hoyer – IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) wants to give WBA heavyweight champion a beating and a lesson on humility this Saturday night in their mega fight at the Imtech Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Wladimir is hoping to give Haye a pounding because of the bad blood he has with him over his wearing of t-shirt depicting Haye holding the severed heads of Wladimir and his brother Vitali, and he also wants to pay him back for his constant insults towards him.
Wladimir and Haye are fighting the biggest heavyweight bout since Lennox Lewis fought Mike Tyson back in 2002. This fight is more meaningful because Haye and Wladimir are both fighting at their peak right now and look to be two of the three best fighters in the division. However, Haye has only fought a small handful of fights at the heavyweight level against older heavyweights rather than the younger fighters that would have had a better chance at beating him. As such, Haye is still untested at heavyweight and virtually an unknown fighter in the United States among the casual boxing fans. Haye did a poor job of trying to get his name out there with American fans, and with him about to retire at the end of the year, he’s going to have to be satisfied with being mainly being popular in Europe.
Wladimir said “I will teach you a lesson that will make you a better person. For a start, I will teach you to be on time.”
Haye was 30 minutes late for his press conference with Wladimir yesterday, and that seemed to upset Wladimir because he spent a good portion of his time at the podium lecturing Haye about the need to be punctual.

I honestly hope Wlad beats him so bad that he dies from head trauma. That would be for the good of boxing.

Haye punishing you would be for the good of boxing!!!If you won it would further prolong the overrated,over hyped,egotistical,scharade that is you and your brothers legacy!!!I am sick of hearing about how good the Klitschkos’ are,how there up there with guys’ like Holyfield,Tyson,Lewis,Foreman,Frazier,Louis and others,it’s a damn joke!The fact is that these days’ other than the Klitschkos,Haye and maybe one or two more,the heavyweight division is a damn joke and has been for the past 10 years!Wladimir and Vitali’s legacies are meaningless,Period!Why you think Vitali got butchered against an aging Lennox Lewis?even though arguably,it should have been Vitalis’ prime!Another fact is that if they weren’t 6’7 or 6’8 they wouldn’t dominate!!!Don’t even argue that Adamek is a great challenge and better than Haye,cause he would get lambasted by Haye in every way!I’m not a huge fan of Hayes’ but in a weak division,he has the most talent!!!Even if he lost,it wouldn’t change that,it would only be because Wladimir is bigger,longer and utilyzsed the jab!
I think that the fight will be less interesting than the Queen having gas!

I believe Adamek would beat Haye over 12 rounds. Hands Down! No doubt about it in my mind!
This fight between Haye in Vlad was the worse matchup ever. Easy win for Vlad. One ony has to look at every betting site online to see that Vlad is the favorite in the fight. If you think different, i suggest you bet some of your money – so you can win big.
Now, a fight between Adamek and Haye would have been a good matchup! Every way you look at it!

Boxing does’t need BIATCHES like Diva G a y. The champ is right. Boxing needs more honorable guys like KlitschKOs, Adamek, Chambers, Thompson, Chagaev etc.
Wlad to punish Haye for the good of boxing? If Haye loses the heavyweight will fall into deep insignificance. There won`t be any other contender, who could compete with him. Contenders like Helenius are still much too young and Adamek is a bad joke! Klitschko will be the one eyed man that fights the blind ones!
It’s funny that Haye was able to convince most of people he’s got any chance against Wlad. The truth is that Adamek has far greater chance agains Vitali. Haye has zero chance gonna lose in first three or four rounds. Period!
Okay, okay this an interesting bout in some ways but to term this fight the „biggest“ since Lennox vs. Tyson is going too far. The trash talking Haye is not that much of a challenge for a fighter like champion Wladimir Klitschko, but then again the show must go on and circus is part of the attraction for some.
One last comment: Isn’t interesting what Haye has to do to attract his fans to the fight. He sells himself more like the clowns in the wrestling circuit than professional boxing. The Brits have come a long way to end up with a waster like Haye.
The secret strategy haye has been all about was getting under the skin Wlad and his team hence making him angry and come out to fight and out of his safety first style and also rattle his team klitschko but Haye thats not going to work because Wlad is far to cleveer for that bait but he is a very tactical boxer so i think he would source you out and take his time to beat u up.
No Haye is going to take your tiltes Wlad and that will be for the good of HW boxing. With you and your donought brother at the helm it has dragged the HW division into the gutter
