Froch vs. Ward on October 29th

By Scott Gilfoid: The Super Six tournament finals bout between WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) and WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (28-1, 20 Ko’s) is tentatively set for October 29th with the fight likely to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Froch wants in Vegas, as does Ward. However, it also could wind up in New York. The fight itself will likely be huge let down if you’re a Froch fan, because he doesn’t have the speed or the boxing skills to hang with Ward in this fight.
Froch will have to focus on throwing just to make contact otherwise he’s going to end up being clowned. As it is, Froch is going to look really bad in this fight and it won’t matter what he does. I’d suggest that Froch and his team hire Andre Dirrell to help him get Froch ready. Dirrell did a good job with Groves and taught him enough to at least hang with James DeGale and win a questionable 12 round decision. This is what Froch needs to do. Have his promoter pay Dirrell top dollar for three months of sparring. I still think Froch would lose, but he might not lose nearly as bad.

froch wins this fight by dare i say it ? OUT BOXING ward ! froch is a better boxer than brawler and watch out for hard stinging jabs and uppercuts from a fully switched on and motivated cobra, ward is gonna buckle on this occasion. late knockout !

was hoping for a Kessler Froch final though
I predicted Wlad would win against haye by UD
I guessed Froch would win against Johnson (by KO probably could have too but hes a nice guy and didnt need the KO)
I also guessed Kessler would KO Mehdi Bouadla in the 6th round …its a little scary how precise i can guess

where i thought he would win it on points easy)
I predicted the Froch vs Kessler fight to be Fight of all time
and was rooting for both fighters (as im a big fan of both)
and if u ask me that fight was a draw
worst thing is i didnt bet any money on either of the fights
but u can go with Scott Gilface prediction or u can go with mine , i wont charge more than 5% of the winnings ´;.;.`

we been through this , he lost fair and square (except he stank up the arena that night)
he had the nosebleed early, got backed up against the ropes first (and frequently)
he may thrown more punches in the early rounds but in the end he got hunted down
and all his complaining when getting hit, excessive holding, running from the action, ducking below the waist pulled down his score even more
so u cant complain that froch got the win

Abraham, Dirrell and Johnson equals 3 victories and that isn’t counting the pending fight with Ward. Taylor and Pascal are also on his resemay. He’s anything but a fraud!!

just cos he hasn’t knockedout the last few does nto display lack of power… all those fighters hadve credited his power… he literally has proven he can box instead after facing that criticism…

@cobra calzaghe. froch may not have knocked any one out in the super 6 but he still does have the power. ward has no power in his punches and thats going to be a big factor in the fight. if froch catches ward clean then war will probably resort to headbutting and clinching to avoid getting hurt like he does when the going gets tough. like i said before if it goes 12 rounds then ward will get the decision but dont count froch to ko him as wards chin is yet to be tested. froch’s has been tested time and time again, he has been knocked down but got up to win the fight.
@ ste – When was the last time froch got any kind of KO? 5 fights ago against jermain Taylor? Everyone KO him in the last few rounds! Tell me one WC fighter Froch has stopped with this so called power of his? I haven’t seen any power from him in this tournament!!

froch will make you eat your words again scot. ward has had home advantage all tournament, headbutted a win against kessler fought alan green and a shot abraham after froch done a number on him!! froch fought the skillful yet negative/cowardly dirrell and went abroad to fight kessler,abraham and johnson. he has done this all with people like you saying he is to slow and limited……but you have said he will get beat every fight but he doesn’t. the whole tournament your articles have been wrong and i think your wrong about this. ward couldnt crack an egg with his punches and froch will just walk through them and land the ‘cobra sting’ i see froch exposing ward in the same way joe calzaghe exposed the last ‘next big american’ jeff lacy. come on the cobra
