Briggs: Haye has to get past Wladimir’s jab to win

By Jason Kim: Former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs is impressed with the skills of WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and is giving him a chance at pulling off an upset against top heavyweight IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on July 2nd. Briggs is no stranger to the Klitschko brothers fought WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in a losing effort to try and win a heavyweight belt for the second time in his career. Briggs fought gamely despite tearing up a bicep early on. Briggs refused to quit and gave a good account for himself.
Haye doesn’t say how he plans on doing this, but will likely take movement and fast attacks. Haye’s best chance of beating Wladimir is to attack him the same way Haye did against 6’5 ½” Ukrainian Alexander Gurov, who Haye knocked out with a single right hand in the 1st round in 2005. Gurov had a very similar fighting style and build to that of Wladimir, yet Haye was able to scorch him with a right hand to take Gurov out.

Spiderman has such a slow jab, Haye could take a tea break and still see it coming. If you put fat, slow, slobs in front of Spiderman of course he will jab them all night. But Spiderman has not faced a man with the hunger, self-belief, skill and power of David Haye. Spiderman is dead meat.

briggs also said that he will fight both klitschko brothers on the same night instead both brohters on the same night visited him in hospital. and on the 3d of july briggs might go to see haye in the same hospital he was

Hayes talking up fight because he knows its his last, he’ll get a sound beating but will find excuses, and spend the rest of his life living of the fat cheque he will receive.

I know that Wlad would be taking this fight very seriously because he knows that a victory for haye would be murder and then make him really look a fraud and he has been on the losing end three times and haye has only tasted it once.
Wlad has a plan up his sleeves and we all would be surprised come july 2nd its like the margareto v mosley fight when people said that mosely would get beat up bad if he traded with margarito but at the end it was margarito that got beat and bad.

Every boxer has been knocked out and knocked down even the likes of Ali,lennox,buster douglas etc But the main thing is coming back and that makes champions. Wlad lost to sanders,purity,brewster but i feel those fight made him strong and if you think and haye thinks that because those guys won meaning that he could do suit then he is in for a rude awaking because this fight is going to propel Wlad as the best champion in this mordern era.

we know that Haye can punch. And he is as good as the other fighters that beat Wlad.He never got to revenge the sanders affair .but did the others successfully. crazy compareing Klit to Gurov however tall he was Klitschco has great accomplishments repeatedly as a heavywieght great is his only missing link.He is a hall of famer for sure.
Gurov was a cruiserweight….thats not the build of a 240+ Wladimer

Shannon Biggs or Tyrell Briggs?
Everyone from Briggs through to Tyson seem to have their own opinions on how to beat Klitchsko. At the end of the day Adam Booths opinion is the only one that counts and with his record up to now, there is no reason to doubt that he has come up with a winning gameplan.
