WBO ANNOUNCES REFEREE AND JUDGES FOR THE LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT, BRAEHMER VS CLEVERLY, THIS SATURDAY IN LONDON, ENGLAND

World Boxing Organization (WBO) announced today the officials who will work this Saturday, May 21, in the Light Heavyweight Title bout between champion Juergen Braehmer and interim titlist Nathan Cleverly, to be held at O2 Arena in London, England, in a Frank Warren presentation.

WBO president, Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel reported that for this match the referee will be Mark Nelson, from Minnesota, while the judges are Minnesota’s Denny Nelson, Carlos Ortiz, from New York and Cesar Ramos, from Puerto Rico. This will be the second title defense for Braehmer (36-2, 29 KOs). Cleverly’s record is unbeaten 21-0, 10 KOs. WBO Supervisor for this fight will be John Duggan.

In this card, Frank Gavin (9-0, 8 KOs) and Young Mutley (29-5, 14 KOs) will fight for the WBO Inter-Continental vacant title.
