Image: May 7th will be a sad day for Pacquiao fansBy Manuel Perez: I sure hope Manny Pacquiao doesn’t plan on singing after this Saturday’s fight against Shane Mosley, because he may not be able to sing anything but a bunch of sad tearful songs after he gets beaten by Mosley. I’ve analyzed the ins and outs of this fight and I’ve got Mosley winning in a brutal beat down that leaves fans wondering what happened.

Okay, we got Freddie Roach who seems to think Pacquiao can just walk over Mosley like he’s another one of his hand-picked opponents that Pacquiao has been breezing by for the past three years. But Mosley did different. He’s got the same counter-punching ability that Juan Manuel Marquez has and we already saw what Marquez did to Pacquiao in his two fights with him. Mosley is going to be timing Pacquiao and leaving an imprint of his gloves on the side of Pacquiao’s head on May 7th.

The fight is quickly going to get out of hand in the first few rounds when Mosley begins to time Pacquiao’s bum rushes and counter him with short combinations. Instead of realizing that he’s got a live fighter here and not just one of the struggling fighters that have been served up to him, Pacquiao will try to pay Mosley back with power shots. The last thing that Pacquiao will be thinking is about his defense. He’s going to go for broke and go primitive by flailing with both hands like a schoolboy fighting on the playground. Pacquiao won’t be able to handle getting hit at all, and will just lose it. That’s the thing. When you get these fighters that are accustomed to getting it their own way against soft opposition, they can’t handle getting hit and throw strategy out the window. This is what’s going to happen to Pacquiao here.

Mosley is quickly going to have Pacquiao’s face looking like nine miles of bad road. There’s going to be bumps everywhere and blood from the eyes, mouth, nose, you name it. Pacquiao’s head is going to look like a red beach ball. Mosley isn’t going to let up. He knows that he’s got to pound Pacquiao and finish him off. Roach will try to give some advice in between rounds but it won’t register with Manny. He’ll incapable of following any advice at that point. You know that goes. Pacquiao will be hearing the jabbering from Roach, but his mind will be hearing a drone and his eyes will be seeing double. Mosley is going to have his way by pouring it on until Pacquiao finally sinks into the canvas in a bleeding pile of flesh in the corner around the 8th or 9th rounds. Roach won’t know what to do and will stare with his mouth wide open, just frozen.
