By Dave Lahr: Like many boxing are saying, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko won the fight with Odlanier Solis last Saturday night, but Solis won the event by looking better and showing off his amazing skills.
Some boxing fans are resistant to Solis right now, perhaps because he’s the new kid on the block and they don’t like change in the form of new stars. However, boxing fans will soon grow to accept Solis and even admire him and become fans of his.
I can see Solis beating Vitali in a rematch. I know he’ll never get a rematch, but I think Solis would beat Vitali. And I know Solis would beat Wladimir and David Haye. Those are two fighters that Solis would handle with ease. Unfortunately, Haye is about retire and walk out before he faces Solis, and Wladimir will probably lose to Haye, so it won’t even be worth Solis wasting his time on the younger Klitschko.

I don,t think so.he was at his prime peak and blew it.He should have just kept punching after landing a combination rather than backpeddle.

If Vitali looses, it´s because of injuries.
If they win, it´s never because of injuries.

He needs to heal his knee and lose 20-30 pounds and you can be sure he’ll be a great champion
I wouldn’t call his skills amazing at all. It wasn’t like he completely dominated Vitali. If Solis’ attack on Vitali is enough to make him a great fighter then Corrie Sanders would be a legend.
Solis has the eating skills to be the eating contest champion. His powerless shots will get him no where in boxing. The Klitchkos and Haye are in a different league………

Was Solis just too fat and out of shape that his knees can’t hold up for 3 minutes or does Vitali hit so damn hard that even a glancing blow off the top of the head can have such a devastating impact that it can resonate all the way down to the knees of a highly skilled HW like Solis?
