Mayweather Sr. – Pacquiao is a total mismatch with Floyd

By Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Sr. says his son Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be returning to the boxing ring and will be fighting Manny Pacquiao, whom he sees as not being in the same class as his son.
Speaking with examiner.com, Mayweather Sr. said this in regards to the $100 million that Mayweather Jr. was said to be asking for a fight with Pacquiao: “It aint little Floyd talking. Its somebody putting stuff in his ear.”
Asking for $100 million isn’t that big of a deal. Why shouldn’t Mayweather be asking to get as much as possible? He’s been arguably the biggest star in boxing for some time and he should be trying to get the biggest payday possible. Besides, we’re only hearing this $100 million through hearsay. Who knows what Mayweather said? But I would be okay with him asking for that amount. It doesn’t mean he’ll get the money but he can always ask.
I can see Mayweather getting the bigger split, especially if Pacquiao struggles in his next fight against Shane Mosley. If Pacquiao has a hard time winning that fight, and I can see that happening, it’s going to put Mayweather in a good position for negotiating with the Filipino star. I don’t care how many PPV buys Pacquiao-Mosley brings in. If Pacquiao struggles in beating Mosley, then it will be next impossible for Pacquiao and Arum to justify asking for a 50-50 deal.

I would like to say this mayweather is scared all he does is make excuses and accusations. He knows he can’t beat manny or any other great boxer. next lose 20 pounds which well cut about 8 – 12 percent of your body fat
then try to lose 6 to 4 more pounds after that and youll see what i mean about it being hard to lose the 4 pounds…

I for one have lost the crazy, breath taking interest in this fight like I had when it was 1st talked about happening in Mar 2010. I dropped my guard and then expected something in November but instead got a fake title match between two guys who were unranked at 154. It was a good fight but because of my protest I did not pay for it up front like I always do.
My point is that there is no way I will pay a huge price for this fight. I feel more angry than excited and currently have no interest in seeing this fight. I am sure many people feel the same way too especially with the apparent greed.
If Maytweeter does not want to fight just say he is retired and move on. Then no more tweets, no more interviews, no more radio shows etc. Hie relevance will automatically cease. If he wants to fight…just do it. If not go away and take his ’0′ with him. It is as exciting as his last or 5 fights.

DUDE YOURE NOT MAKING ANY SENSE all your doing is saying the exact same thing im saying but using itin a backwards argument…. im going to break it down step by step really really slow…. the weigh in is before the fight they have to be a certain weight check? most fighters weigh WAAAAY more than the limit they fight at check? soooo the day of and most of the time the day before the weigh in they eat very minimal amounts of food if they even eatat all and right before most of them hit the sauna or even spitjust to lose as MUCH water weight as possible then they go weigh in. AFTER theyve weighed in they REHYDRATE and EAT mainly foods like pasta to get the carbs they need for energy and what not. i agree its definitely as much a part of there lives as the next exercise but at the same time when its the biggest payday of there lives you add a different stipulation to the mindset these guys are in and they try to do stuff that they normally wouldnt do… its like asking pacman to come back down to 132 or something while he probably could its would be extremely taxing to his muscles as well as his brain as he’d be food deprived alot of the time which would mess with his sleep and a whole bunch of other things…. alot of muscle deterioration and so on…. its still difficult thats why so many fighters say they arent going back down to a certain weight after awhile…. with their aging comes the decrease in their metabolism as well making it EVEN harder to lose you know so while you make an excellent point in some factors id have to respectfully disagree

Dont both parties sign contracts that stipulate ring size, gloves, entrance rights, cornermen, purse, and last but not least weight.
These guys are first class athletes. I respectively disagree with all this catch weight, weight draining bs. Its never a problem to the fighter. It’s always the fans. Fighters understand that it’s part of there life style and they are amazing at understanding there bodies.
I lived in Henderson nv outside of las Vegas for years and when my wife would drag me to bikram yoga, I would see fighters from mma Doing it to get ready as well as professional boxers.
These guys are elite. Cutting weight is as much a part of there lives as hitting a heavy bag.

Mosley’s loss to mayweather was embarrassing. But it was boring and mayweather did close to no damage. Mosley was never really in any danger cuz mayweather dont have the heart to fight. when the time comes, i believe mayweather will win quite easily. we all saw what floyd did to marquez (the counterpuncher who almost defeated pac TWICE), he utterly dominated him. it was embarassing to watch. floyd is bigger, faster and more skilled than marquez, so we can expect him to give pac even MORE trouble than marquez did.

I think it is another way of avoiding confrontation to eliminate people saying that Mayweather is a coward because I am pretty sure that Pacquiao will not agree.
