Haye to use Lennox Lewis to help get ready for Klitschko

By William Mackay: WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) is ready to get any help he can to try and beat whichever Klitschko he ends up facing in June or July. Right now, Haye is hoping he’ll be facing IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) next. However, that could change quickly due to Wladimir’s abdominal injury failing to heal properly. Haye is planning on using former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis to get some tips in how to beat either of the Klitschkos, since Lewis holds a victory over Vitali from 2003 when he cut Vitali’s eye with a glancing shot.
Lewis was actually losing the fight to Vitali at the time the fight was stopped due to Vitali’s cut. Lewis wasn’t finding a lot of success in that fight other than when he was able to land some uppercuts. That probably won’t be much of any help for Haye in a bout against Vitali, because Vitali so seldom clinches and fights mostly on the outside. Lewis may offer the same advice he gave to Solis by telling Haye to focus on his shots at Vitali’s body and then look to get in close without getting hit to work on the inside. That sounds easy but Vitali has a way of backing away against fighters that come at him while still throwing shots.
I think Lewis can’t be much of any help for Haye against Vitali. As for Wladimir, Lewis has never fought Wladimir. All he’ll likely say is for Haye to pressure Wladimir and try to connect with hard shots immediately to get him afraid and thinking defensively. Wladimir doesn’t throw a lot of power shots early in his fights and all he’ll do is keep backing up and throwing more and more jabs. That’s not a good thing for Haye because he’s going to get his face busted up before long. He needs Wladimir to be slugging it out with him to have any chance. Wladimir won’t do that until Haye is punch drunk and half blind from eating too many jabs. I think Lewis can’t be of any help to Haye period. Haye is just too small and he’s got terrible punching technique.

Lennox is the greatest champion of all time. So he could have destroyed those two brainless mummys at same time. Very good idea of haye to get help from the lion king
how fxxxxx dare anyone compare lennox with haye .. lennox was a true champ that showed his talent in the ring .. he will be remembered for what he done . haye wants to get the same praise but without having to fight . theres about 5 great fights there for haye but believe me you will be lucky to see one. clean up heavyweight ? he couldnt clean the loos at a fight . lennox retired because hes done what he needed to in boxing . and people saying he was scared lol what a laugh , lewis got beat 2 times and came back and avenged both times . i dont think lewis knows the meaning of scared, haye you made a lot of promises theres only one promise i want you to keep . retire in august .

Yeah Lennow was behind on the scorecards when the fight aganist Vitali got stopped, but he had swung the moment of the fight at that stage and was landing some very hard shots. Also wasnt it Lennox who called up Sanders before he knock out Wladimir and instructed him how to do so.

What Haye needs to beat a KBRO is a miricle. The unskilled but huge valuev is no prep for the skill of the KBRO’S
Haye can get all the advice he wants from Lennox. That advice will not strengthen Haye’s chin though. The advice will not improve the weak defence of Haye either.

Had the fight continued, Vitalis’s eye would be hanging out of its socket and his nose pushed through to the other side of his head, but boxing is on points, so yeah, well done Vitali, you da man.

i wouldnt call lennox punches glancing as he cut vitali in about four different places so the fight had to be stopped. did u see the uppercut from lennox in the 5th or 6th it nearly took vitalis head off fair play to him for taking that and if that couldnt knock vit out no way haye can
lennox was hitting vitali a lot with accurates shots, thats what caused the cuts, and as for losing at the time, lennox can ko a fight with a single shot , where neither wlad or vitali has lennoxs power, they tend to need to wear an opponent down first before doing so…
i dont think either brothers hits as hard as haye or lenneox.
and ambrose say he cut him with a glancing shot, how many of them, vitali was cut above and below both eyes?

Totally agree with Ben James.
Whether Lennox was ahead or not on the cards in his fight with klit… it dont matter.
Anything can happen in 12 rounds of boxing, but what did happen is the cut Lennox gave Vitali was so bad the fight had to be stopped!
Your also forgetting Lennox is a legend of our sport! He has a great intelligent boxing mind and just because he wasnt as successful as he could have been in his fight with Vitali, doesnt mean he does not know HOW to beat them.
