Reile faces Santana for IBF female featherweight title on 3/31

On March 31, 2011 in San Jose, Costa Rica, Stacey Reile will be fighting in a 10-round match against Dahiana Santana for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Female Featherweight title. This fight will be Reile’s second consecutive world title match in the last six months.

Stacey last fought on October 9, 2010 in a highly controversial decision loss to Elin Tissen in Germany. From many at ringside as well as those who viewed the fight abroad, Reile won the match by a sizable margin, having also knocked Tissen down once in the match, although it was ruled a slip.

This upcoming match is a very special time and opportunity for Stacey, being it marks the eve of the one-year anniversary of the sad passing of Stacey’s mother. You might say Stacey is dedicating this match to her late mother. Let’s cheer Stacey on and wish her great success in bringing home the IBF Women’s Featherweight Championship belt.
