O’Donnell favorite to beat Watson, Fury also favored to beat Nascimento

IRISH-BORN slugger John O’Donnell is the 4-5 favourite on Betfair to bag the vacant British welterweight title at Wembley Arena, London, on Saturday. The 25-year-old squares up to Craig Watson for a second time, the pair having already traded blows in 2009.

Punters on the betting exchange are backing O’Donnell to win the 147lb title ahead of Watson, an Even money shot. Watson will be out for revenge having suffered a points defeat in their previous showdown.

Also stepping into the ring at Wembley is undefeated heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury. The fiery Mancunian’s unbeaten record looks set to remain intact after he was installed at just 1-18 to beat Marcelo Luiz Nascimento.

Pundits have described Nascimento as ‘Fury’s toughest opponent yet’, but odds of 12-1 suggest the 30-year-old Brazilian will taste defeat in North West London on the night.

Betfair’s Alex Bake said: “O’Donnell and Fury are two phenomenal boxers with great records. The betting suggests that both will win their respective bouts on Saturday night.”

O’Donnell v Watson – Betfair bet: 4-5 O’Donnell, Evens Watson, 4-1 the draw

Fury v Nascimento – Betfair bet: 1-18 Fury, 12-1 Nascimento, 11-2 the draw
