Eloy Perez is crowned this week’s Boxer con Carácter
NEW YORK (February 24, 2011) – Not only did Eloy Perez win his fight against Roger Gonzalez by unanimous decision during last Friday night’s TeleFutura broadcast of “Sólo Boxeo Tecate”, but he also was selected as the boxer with the most character in the ring by fans across the nation. The Salinas, Calif., native received approximately 70 percent of all votes cast via text message and online at Univision.com by viewers throughout the United States.

The next voting opportunity will be on February 25, when “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” returns to the Four Points Sheraton in San Diego with another action-packed event featuring Philadelphia’s undefeated junior welterweight prospect Danny “Swift” Garcia (19-0, 13 KO’s) against John Figueroa (7-8-3, 3 KO’s) of Salinas, Puerto Rico in the main event, and a co-featured battle between undefeated super middleweights Marco Antonio Periban of Mexico and Dion Savage of Las Vegas.
