Chisora looking powerful and fast in training for Klitschko bout

By Dave Lahr: Unbeaten British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) is looking very impressive in a recent video while he gets ready for his April 30th bout against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) in Mannheim, Germany. If there was any doubt in my mind that Chisora was going to beat Wladimir on 4/30, that doubt was erased after I saw how good Chisora is looking. I’m really impressed with the improvement that he’s made in his speed and power.

Chisora looks much faster and more powerful than he was in the past. Chisora has always been a powerful puncher with excellent head movement, but he’s looking so much better now. I almost feel sorry for Wladimir, because he’s going to be facing a better version of Lamon Brewster on April 30th and he’s not going to be able to hand with him.

Wladimir won’t be able to land his shots because of Chisora’s head movement and he’s not going to be able to stop Chisora once he gets inside on him. The only thing that Wladimir can hope to do is to try and clinch Chisora. That won’t work, however, because Chisora is already saying he’s going to keep punching when Wladimir is grabbing him.

There won’t be any escape for Wladimir no matter what he tries to do. Emanuel Steward, Wladimir’s trainer, better take a good look at Chisora’s training video because his fighter Wladimir is in big trouble come April 30th. We’re about to see a new champion of the world. Chisora is going to bring the IBF/WBO titles back to Britain and David Haye is going to have a good laugh about it.

Um…What is Dave Lahrs success rate in predictions ????????

  • Joey Mc says:

I’m not so sure Chisora will be ready for the step up in class for this fight. His work-rate in this video isn’t going to be anywhere near enough for the experience of Klitch. He’s going to have to bring a savage intensity to beat VK and he’s going to have to break him up inside when he comes clinching. Don’t get me wrong – would love to see the heavyweight division opened up from those boring siblings but perhaps that won’t happen yet with Chisora – I hope I’m wrong.

considering Kitchko has 5 inches or so on him, Chisora is throwing his punches way too low. i hope this isn’t how he’s really preparing for the fight!

  • jackson says:

yes, aside from leading with his head and throwing wide, telegraphed punches and having the footwork of a drunken dockworker, he is great. also, a little power would help, vlad jab is harder than his right hand.

  • realboxing says:

Chisora loock horible!!!! Klitschko will destroy thiss guyyy!!!

  • Ukrainian says:

Dave Liar, if you’re so sure that Chisora is going to beat Vlad – why don’t you bet your house on Chisora’s win? You can be f@cking rich after that fight, just imagine how much money you can get! Or – homeless. I think that second option is much closer for you to face after all.

    poweful and fast.lahr wtf r u smoking

  • BIG G says:

    but brick dont hit back

  • uk says:

What is this guy on? Nothing against Chisora, but he is far too inexperienced for Wlad. Why are HW fights like this even being made?

  • eric says:

Ricky Hatton looked awesome in his training b4 the Pacman fight aswell shall I say more?

  • Lou says:

Like Bruce Lee said one time Board don’t hit back, I say Bag don’t hit back

  • holyfield's last stand says:

he will eat a lot of lefts.

  • ADMIN says:

Terrible head movement. He cant take a punch, what a joke

  • Doctor says:

And should Wladimir win will you give him any credit for doing so…I doubt it.

  • carty says:

whens liar lahr gunna get the boot, hes such a fool, i feel embarrassed for him, i wish chis all the best, n he dunt look awful but come on lahr, did you even watch all of the training video??

  • mark richards says:

at least pat pump knows what he is talking about and just an idea how much more intresting and competitive would the heavyweight devision b without the k brothers not saying the class would b great but it would b very competitive rather than 2 people just beating people up 2 easily

  • mark richards says:

he dosent look impressive his guards way 2 low wen u do somthing like tha in training as soon as you get tired u go back 2 whats natural hes throwing short punches n wald is not gunna be that close 2 him with a guard tha low hes going 2 get his head jabbed off 2 fight one of the k brothers u neet a high guard ad good jab evasion and in this video derick is showing none of these not impressed

  • fightfan2011 says:

umm its all good, but what happens when they meet the great Wlad????? exactly demolishing the hope…..

  • Anonymous says:

They all are looking good in training…But when Wlad beats them all up they just falling all the time…P.S. LAHR YOU SUXX BASICALLY

  • PATPUMP says:

He looks like a good target, especially when he leaves both hands hanging out there, Dude where is the head movement, he square’s up before and after he punches he looks like he was made to take a fake and eat a jab, he’s really going to look horrible the second he takes one step backward, bet he drops his left hand when he does, that’s when he’s going to be knocked out.

  • Nick Bannister says:

Look forward to more embarrassment Mr Lahr. Chisora and Wlad are in different leagues, this will be like Vitali-Briggs, Mayweather-Hatton or Marquez-Katsidis. A good fighter getting a beat down from a great one.

  • Shelton says:

he also sells his jab and load up on the wrong punches
