Bradley thinks Mayweather would beat Pacquiao easily

By Chris Williams: WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11 KO’s) thinks Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0, 25 KO’s) would easily defeat boxing’s cash cow Manny Pacquiao if and when they ever fight in the future. Bradley, who is a good judge of talent, believes Mayweather would “easily” beat the Filipino fighter.

“I think he [Mayweather] beats him [Pacquiao] easily,” Bradley said in an article at the Grand Rapids Press. I have to agree with Bradley. He knows boxing like the back of his hand. I think Bradley has really nailed with this observation. Mayweather would be far too skilled for Pacquiao and if they ever fight, even if it’s three to five years from now, Mayweather will likely school Pacquiao in the worst way possible. Hopefully when Mayweather gets his legal issues behind him, he can set up a fight with Pacquiao and finally show who the better fighter is between them.

It won’t be easy setting up a fight, though, because Mayweather wants Pacquiao to agree to the random blood testing for performance enhancing drugs, but he was unable to get Pacquiao to agree to the full testing when they attempted to set up a fight earlier last year. That’s something that Pacquiao will have to agree to before Mayweather will fight him. If not, then the fight won’t get made and Pacquiao and continue to fight Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito and Joshua Clottey over and over again until he retires. Mayweather has a lot of options available to him and he really doesn’t need a fight with Pacquiao to define his career. He can fight Amir Khan, Timothy Bradley or Saul Alvarez, to name just a few good options available to Mayweather.
