Bradley-Alexander undercard is really lacking
By Dan Ambrose: If you were hoping that the 1/29 Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11 KO’s) vs. Devon Alexander (21-0, 13 KO’s) would have a good undercard along with it, think again. The undercard appears to be totally lacking in quality. Although there is a lot of fights on the undercard, it’s not very deep in recognizable starts. It’s basically all prospects and ones that will likely never be more than a prospect. All I can say is I hope the Bradley vs. Alexander fight is super exciting because the undercard will be painful to watch.
Kendall Holt vs. Lenin Arroyoa
Vernon Paris fighting TBA
Julio Diaz vs. Pavel Miranda
Julian Williams vs. Torrence King
Bermane Stiverne vs. Kertson Manswell
Darryl Cunningham vs. Alberto Mercedes
Andre Gorges vs. Angel Herndez
Marcus Oliveira vs. Demetrius Jenkins
As far as I’m concerned, I’m close to being interested in none of those fights. The only one that’s sort of interesting is the Holt-Arroyo fight, but even that’s not interesting because Holt was blown away by light welterweight contender Kaizer Mabuza in his last fight. I don’t really want to see that guy now after that loss. And don’t care about Julio Diaz. I think I’ve seen him get beaten a number of times. Stiverne is too short. I don’t care about the rest.

Fight was somewhat disappointing, the bout between De La Rosa and Konyan on the undercard was much more exciting.
Stop whining and support boxing!! Two undefeated world champions going head to head and people are complaining! This is why boxing is dying in America.
So the undercard could be better – live with it! If you guys continue to snipe, moan and criticize every fight that’s made BEFORE it’s even happened, pretty soon all you will have to tune in to will be WWF and mma. In Europe we respect our fighters and boxing promotions, that’s why the sport is booming in the UK and Germany. Americans need to learn to love boxing again!
No one even cares about the main event
this division will be dead once khan unifies and moves up.
The fight it self will be problematit ………these 2 very average fighters are being billed as something else…………the will fight american style run and hug and will not fight hard and mix it up……….
Of course the undercard is a sham. King is in the twilight of a storied career and Shaw is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American boxing public. If it weren’t for his under-the-tavble output deal with Ken Hershamn and Showtime, Sghaw would be selling raffle tickets at the country fare. His ability to draw people to his fights is about as poor as any promoter in the modern era.
who cares at least the two best in the world in that devision will face each other. you dont see this very often anymore. free on hbo anyway. enjoy and shut up.
