Arreola-Abell early results – News

By Jim Dower: In early undercard action in the Chris Arreola vs. Joey Abell fight card in Temecula, California, undefeated light welterweight prospect Joseph Elegele (10-0, 8 KO’s) destroyed Manuel Aguilar with a 1st round knockout. Elegele finished off Aguilar with a powerful right hand that put him down on the canvas badly hurt. Referee Tony Crebs then stepped in and stopped the bout at 2:18 of the 1st round. Elegele is someone to keep and eye on in the future.

Sorry folks, I didn’t mean to enter that many messages but the first several didn’t register so I repeated myself and then they all showed up. I am disgusted with Arreola though. Could ya tell.
Reality- I think if Arrwola was in shape, he’d no longer be a heavyweight. And your right, if he’s really in the top ten, he could have fought a somebody. I guess after getting his ass waxed a couple times , he’s a little tentative about fighting a contender.
I mean this guy sets up this tomato can beats him, climbs in his face and KISSES him and then croons about “being back”? That is weak character and he will fail.
How come fighters like Arreola go in looking like a slob when there is a potential for big bucks? If I was him I would drop the extra weight and start doing a serious workout.
Arreola is a classless slob. I can’t wait until he fights another respectable heavyweight so we can watch him gat his fat ass kicked again.
Well Teddy Atlas is wrong on this one. If Arreola would have hit the guy again after the ref stepped in he’d have gotten fined at least. But to kiss the guy after this tomato can gave you a chance to pretend you were salvaging your career? Classless and disrespectful. Can’t wait to see this slob fight another ranked heavyweight so we can watch him take another beating.
Arreola sets him self up a tomato can and then treats him with complete disrespect while crooning about”being back”. Can’t wait to see him fight another contender so we can watch him get his ass kicked again. What a jerk.
